Worst customer service ever. (edit below) So I’ve been looking at online tux/suit rentals for my wedding and figured that it might be worth the extra cost to go local instead. I go in for my consultation with my fiancée and immediately we’re presented (not greeted) by someone who obviously doesn’t want to help us. We’re the only customers, we scheduled this consultation, and Gabby can’t be bothered to get out of her chair or even introduce herself. (Seriously, we had to ask HER name) She simply places an iPad in front of me and asks me to make an account. So I’m thinking “why am I making an account?”. It turns out that they just use an online rental company themselves!
The worst part is that we had to do all the work in this appointment-only boutique. She didn’t ask us our colors, location, or budget. She just handed me an iPad and told me to do it. When I asked about how tailoring works she said “it’s all AI generated measurements.” When I responded with concerns she said with a bored expression “I can take your measurements but you should use the AI.” When I asked about swatches and shirt materials she just kept repeating that they had no samples. Then I asked about the material differences of the shirts and she just kept saying they’re all the same (microfiber and twill don’t sound the same to me). I went so far as to ask her what’s the difference between Katerina’s and Men’s Wearhouse and she said “literally nothing”.
Anyway. I now have an account for generationtux.com and we’ll see if I go with that product. Honestly I’m just disappointed with the lack of any interest from Gabby in doing her job or having any interest in the people who were in front of her. I’m not happy to be writing a bad review for a local business as I’m sure Katerina is great (based on other reviews) but her employee really put a bad taste in my mouth and I can’t recommend Katerina’s Bridal for grooms. Just go to the website they use and save the hassle.
Edit: Katerina just called me and apologized for the way her employee treated us. She was extremely sweet on the phone a cared deeply about our experience saying “that is not how she wants her employees to behave”. She then proceeded to answer all the questions that were unanswered before. I bumped the rating up two stars because Katerina provided the customer we were looking for and looks forward to helping us in the future.

Not only did I buy my beautiful and very affordable wedding reception dress at Katerina's boutique, but when I first came to her shop to try on dresses, I loved her professionalism and personality so much that I hired her as my wedding coordinator, and she was worth EVERY PENNY. Katerina was the exact person I was looking for in a wedding coordinator, and she is the reason we had such a magical and perfect wedding weekend, I don't even want to imagine what our wedding would have been without her! We gave her a pretty wild vision of what we wanted the weekend to look like and how events were to play out, and she ran with it and made it a reality. Every single part of the wedding weekend was touched by and set up by Katerina and her assistant. Katerina literally can do it all, and if you are in need of a wedding coordinator and have a vision, she is THE woman you want to make it happen! We had a two-day wedding weekend in Silverton, CO, and the first day of our wedding we had an outdoor high country evening ceremony followed by an after-ceremony meadow party which included patio lights strung in trees, tables and chairs brought up from Durango, a pizza dinner, yard games, and music. She got everything set-up and taken down, which was no small feat! The second day of our wedding was a more formal wedding reception in the Wyman Hotel Courtyard. Katerina handled all of our party rentals, our vendors, our timeline, made all of our arrangements from flowers we bought in bulk from Mountain Belle Flower Farm, and so much more. If an issue had arose, she caught it before it ever became an issue. As a bride, I never lifted a finger, and was able to enjoy the weekend, knowing Katerina had everything handled. She is a miracle every couple should have on their wedding day. Thank you Katerina for all that you do. Your passion, love, and work ethic is exemplified in everything you do, create, and build. You're such an incredible asset to the Durango wedding industry, and Nick and I cannot have made a better choice in hiring you to be part of our wedding weekend!!!! We were coming from out of town for a Durango wedding and sent our measurements to the groom who set up the order. When I called to pay for the suit, I told the owner it was under one of two last names and asked if she could check for me. She acted like I was an idiot, even as I'm trying to give her money. My father (a local) requested a specific size of vest, and she refused to order the correct size, stating it would run large, even though she didnt bother to measure him. The three groomsman and father tried their clothes on as soon as the suits arrived and literally not a single piece of clothing fit. While she was able to let out the pants, the groomsman had to pay for their shirts to be overnighted after she measured them. Fathers vest of course didnt fit, and when we requested refunds on the overnight fee because of the horrible customer service, she just stated over and over again that "it was on them" because she didnt take the initial measurements (out of town customers apparently don't deserve good customer service, better make sure to fly in multiple times from your location to ensure a proper fit). She didn't bother to apologize for the fact that my father didnt have a vest to wear for the wedding, even though that was clearly her fault and we forced her to take back and provide a refund. Even after receiving the new shirts (which SHE took the measurements for) they didn't fit. When we arrived at the venue, the entire seam of one groomsmans pants split just from stepping out of the car. I had to sew the brides dress 3 times during the reception as each of the clasps RIPPED off just from her sitting down, and her strap completely fell apart. The groom's clothes were too big while everyone elses were far too small.
This owner's complete lack of customer service, disregard for those coming from out of town, and obvious incompetence when it comes to measurements leave me wondering how she remains in business. PLEASE do not have the same experience as us - drive to Farmington or bring your...
