After a busy day we were all exhausted and wanted some chips and salsa! We found Nayarit Restaurant and thankfully slid into a lovely, patio seating area outside. This menu has everything! It took us quite a while to decide, what to order, because there were so many fabulous choices. Obviously I got the nachos, LOL because that's what I always get when I go somewhere new. We were greeted with smiles and our water glasses were filled very quickly. Our server came out and helped explain what some of the dishes were. After we ordered. It was only a few minutes before our food arrived. Everything about this place was spot on, the service, the atmosphere, the friendliness of the workers, and the food! Holy Jeepers! This was some of the yummiest Mexican food we had ever had! My daughter could not quit raving about her burrito and the mac and cheese received a two thumbs up from the grandkids! They have a full bar with multiple types of cerveza. Even though we ate outside, l wandered inside and found the entire restaurant immaculately clean. The bathrooms were very pretty and obviously well cared for.
It's always so much fun to find a new Mexican restaurant and to taste a different style of nachos. This was a case of there was more beans, cheese, chicken, veggies, and everything else you could possibly want on nachos. Then there were chips. Everything was melty delicious and piping hot.
We will definitely be eating at Nayarit restaurant again in the...
Read moreThe family and me stopped by for a dinner. I had not had a molcajete in a while so my husband and me decided to try it out. The molcajetes Iâve had consist of a molcajete sauce on the molcajete itself which is used for all the meats surrounding the molcajete. The one we had had very little sauce almost nothing instead there was chorizo taking over. Every piece of chicken meat including the nopal had tasted of greasy chorizo. My husband gave his review and the owner replied seems he/she got upset over his review instead of apologizing and inviting him to come over again give it another try or something positive he/she was accusing him of being hard to please and saying he has given 100 one star reviews which is NOT true he has about 46 reviews and thereâs some he has given 5 stars I think he/she was upset that this restaurant was given 1 star. The Molcajete was basically a chorizo with cheese so essentially it was a choriqueso molcajete and I stand by it even if the owner gets upset. I also got the house margarita which tasted like water with cheap tequila none of the other ingredients it was supposed to have. I went with my whole family to enjoy a good lunch/dinner and left unfortunately it wasnât what we expected. Sadly based on the owners reply to my husband we definitely wonât be giving this restaurant...
Read moreThe food was so good! We got the queso fundido with nopales, the molcajete mexicano, and the chile relleno. The queso fundido was delicious with the complementary chips and salsa. The chile relleno was also delicious, it comes with queso fresco inside which doesnât melt, so thatâs something to consider if youâre expecting melted cheese inside it. It tasted very authentic though. I did not eat from the molcajete but my family really enjoyed it. It was shared amongst three people and they could not finish it. It is listed in the menu as being able to feed 2-3 people but honestly it could probably feed 4-5 people since it also comes with two plates of rice and beans, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, and plenty of tortillas. I also got the piña colada and I really liked it, it wasnât too strong. The service was great although we noticed other peopleâs food took long to come out. They were short staffed but I think they did great anyway. I highly recommend this place and I cannot wait to come back when we are back in town.
The only con was the tortillas were not heated, they tasted like they just came out of the package but everything else was great so it wasnât a...
