Mill and Meadow — Local services in Durham

It was so much fun to shop Elyse Breanne items in a store! I loved getting to test things out myself. The gel pens were so fun! The store is in a very cute area in Durham...even my husband said so when I sent him a picture of the courtyard/building. Plus, it was fun to see Elyse in person after following her journey of her business on Instagram. It was like meeting a celebrity. She was like Oprah handing out gift bags for the soft opening of the store. She was just as sweet and hardworking as she seems in her videos. Her team seemed awesome as well. I already wanted to go back the same day after I'd left!

Here were my favorite items:

-Pen pouches (I use one as a wallet and one for pens and wax seal stuff. I originally got one as a gift, but ended up keeping both and will go back for another one for my friend) -Gel pens (They're pretty, write well, and nice color ink... although testing them really made a difference in which ones I chose. I love the darker yellow. It can be hard to find a yellow that's easy to read. This one's perfect! I also love the mint green! And it's cute with the yellow and a pink I got.) -Reusable grocery bags with a pocket (I bought 2 as a gift but decided to keep one because I like it so much) -The pink t-shirt (which I got free for the grand opening, but I really love it!)

I wish I'd gotten one of the larger zipper pouches. I have a Clinique one I use to store feminine products, but I would like to upgrade to one of these because the patterns are so pretty and would make me even happier at that time of the month. 😂

I have been a huge Elyse Breanne Design fan for years. Her notebooks and planners were perfect for me in nursing school, I've gotten many loved ones gifts they totally love, and I could not be more excited to have visited the shop! I liked the many ways she has incorporated her pieces with other boutique items to make a comfortable, chic, and beautiful aesthetic. Everyone in the shop was friendly and I would like to shout out Elyse herself for taking the time to take a photo with me in front of her gorgeous mural. She was so obliging and friendly. My aunt had found a cute snail mug for my cousin, but by the time she texted back about the mug, we were outside of Durham. My aunt called the shop and they very kindly shipped the mug to my cousin! I love stopping at stationery stores while traveling and found Mill and Meadow while visiting Durham. It's one of the best I've been to! They have a ton of great cards at prices more affordable than other stationery stores tend to be (presumably because they seem to exclusively sell their own designs). In addition to stellar cards, their washi tape is high quality and their pens are SO good if you like fine-tipped pens. I bought two – in mint & lavender shades – and wish I would have purchased more. Hopefully I can find them in the online store. Can't recommend this...
