Angie was so kind and compassionate, walking me through all of the steps of washing & scalp care, in addition to giving me literally the perfect haircut. The studio environment at Temple was really laid back and comfortable as well. I didn't feel on display and everyone I interacted with was so pleasant. I can sometimes get nervous when getting haircuts for complex gender reasons, but as I checked out I felt excited to book my next cut with Angie. (sorry for blurring part of the image i didn't want to be overly recognizable!)

I love Temple Studio! I've been a regular since they were called Arrow. My first visit was in 2016 before my wedding, and it was the best haircut I'd ever gotten. Dozens of visits later, and the quality has stayed top tier. The studio is clean, nicely decorated and aesthetically pleasing, the stylists are all super friendly and cool- I usually visit Linda or Angie, both are fantastic and I get along great with. I usually have a hard time with conversation during haircuts, but they make it so natural!

Obviously it's a huge plus that Temple is proudly a Queer space. It's nice to walk in the doors and see the queer flag displayed in the window, and it's even better to see a space full of queer people.

My last visit Angie was the best and gave me super in depth directions for how to care for my hair, which is miserably fine and straight, and what do you know, it's looking way better these days. She was more than happy to repeat directions as I typed them on my phone and asked follow-up questions, too. She also offered to shape my beard, which I desperately needed, and now I'm able to maintain the shape of it on my own, thank god. I had booked a 30 minute session, but it ended up being an hour. She was clear that what she wanted to do would extend the length of the cut, and I accepted. I'm lucky she didn't have another client lined up. It also made me feel special.

Another thing I greatly appreciate about Temple is that they've done away with tipping. The prices you see are what you pay, period. It is more fair to the stylists and it's way easier for the clients, especially if you're the type to never know how much to tip.

It's definitely more expensive to go to Temple than Supercuts or the like, but it's worth every penny, if you have the...

Will have to update my rating for this place. It’s always been on the pricey side, but Brad made it worth it. I had struggled to find a stylist elsewhere that could get my hair color right. But when Brad left, I had to start my search again. I decided to stay within the salon and try a new stylist. She got out Brad’s notes and colored my hair using the color we had used in the past. But the color he had used to put only a few random streaks in my hair did not translate into the full balayage she gave me. When I got to the car in the sunlight, I realized the mistake...I looked like Donald Trump. Did I mention it was $250 before tip?!!

I called back after 2 days (tried to see if color would fade a bit) and asked for a fix. I had to wait 7 days to get back in for the fix. Stephanie applied a glaze to knock down the warm tones which worked well and I was about to be happy again...until we walked up front and was charged another $50. Apparently the glaze fix was free. But if I wanted to have my hair blow dried and styled so i could go back to work...well...that’s extra. I walked away a little taken aback. I asked multiple friends and folks in the industry if this was normal practice and they said absolutely not.

So while I am now happy with my color, I can honestly tell you it wasn’t worth the almost $380 (including tip). And that was JUST color. No haircut. Their pricing has risen to outrageous and I won’t...

I’ve been using this salon for about 5 months now, and I’m convinced I’ll never go anywhere else!!! Anaïs is absolutely incredible and so good at making you feel comfortable throughout the entire process. They go out of their way to explain every step and talk you through what they’re doing, and they also work incredibly hard to make sure you get exactly what you want. I dyed my hair for the first time in August of last year and they took such great care of me during the entire 8 hour procedure. They even bought me a slice of pizza which I thought was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. Needless to say, I was hooked from the start and I have loved every cut and color Anaïs has done on me since then. The shop is always super neat and tidy and everyone is very adamant about prioritizing cleanliness. Although I’ve only ever gone to see Anaïs, I’ve been in there enough to know that every stylist there is incredibly skilled at their craft. I’ve never seen a bad head of hair in that building! They all work tirelessly to make the rest of us look our best. I’m so excited to have...
