Collector's Connection — Local services in Dyersburg

We go to Dyersburg quite a bit, either to visit family or to shop.

A few months back, we were driving around Dyersburg, and I entered "Video Game Stores," or something similar, into Apple Maps on my phone. Even though we're familiar with the stores and shops in town, I was stumped when Collector's Connection popped up.

I read the description of what they offered and didn't know how I was unaware of the store.

I'll be honest: if you're not looking for it, you may not see it. That's why reviews like this are essential for these kinds of local places.

When we drove down the road and found it, we initially went in so my son could see what types of video games they offered, along with their selection of Pokémon and other collectibles.

I didn't expect to find anything for myself, but as a collector of vinyl records, I was impressed by their modest collection of 12" albums and 45s. I actually bought a sealed 7" David Bowie vinyl from 2019's Record Store Day. Since we visited on Labor Day, they were having a holiday sale, so the owner sold it to me at a discounted price.

The folks working there could not have been nicer. They were eager to help and answered any questions we had.

It's not a huge store and not quite as polished as well-known branded establishments. Still, considering the crowd they cater to, it's a spot to check out if you're a collector or visiting from out of town.

If you're looking for collectibles, this Collector's Connection deserves a spot on your list of places to check out. You might walk away with something you didn't expect to find....

Overall I believe this is a great store focusing on TCG cards, comics and non-video based gaming such as D&D and others. Jeff is always very friendly and helpful to customers hosting a large variety of events for customers both new and old. That being said, inventory is very "clustered" and difficult to go through, especially for the TCG inventory and comics. And newer stock (understandably) runs out quickly with large wait times in-between, though he is always ready to order whatever is requested. Once again I highly recommend this store for all folks...

I tried to purchase a product that he was currently out of stock of and asked the owner Jeff if it would be possible to get it in before Christmas. Mind you this is less than a week away, and within 2 days he messaged me saying it was in. The owner is a good guy who will do everything in his power to make sure you get what you need. If you need anything from comics to video games or trading cards I recommend giving him your business over the bigger guys. It's not all about the money to him and his prices...
