El Patio — Restaurant in Dyersburg

Slow service. Margaritas had zero alcohol. Just ice and sour mix. I’m a bartender so I know. I started with a house, let it slide with that one then ordered a premium margarita picture, tasted the same. Talked to the manager and he was beyond rude, dismissed me, then proceeded to tell me if I didn’t like that margarita then I wouldn’t get another one. I don’t complain because I also work in the service industry. Don’t send anything back but it was $30 so I did mention it on that one. Overall it was a mess . I use to come here a lot before I moved back to Memphis. It was great back then (5years ago) . But I am visiting for the holiday and wanted to come back to one of our favorite places and boy am I disappointed. Won’t be back again. Anyone that works in the food industry knows you let alot slide because you’ve been there, but the attitudes here were horrible. Manager was the worse. Mexican restaurants are know for their margaritas. El patio is no exception but the only reason they will be remembered for their margaritas is because how bad they are. This was my second visit to El Patio and I was not very pleased this time around. Our waitress was very "cold" and showed no emotion when she took our drink orders. When I explained how I wanted my food, she repeated what I said, wrote it down, as she did with my husband's, but both orders were wrong when we got then. The other girl that brought out our food asked who had the #8 and my husband raised his hand, she plopped his food down in front of him and slid mine in front of me rudely. Our waitress remained cold the entire visit. We were going to mention it to the manager at the register, but he was just as rude with us and the other customers showing that he didn't care much what anyone thought. I don't know if, or when we will visit El Patio again. We just weren't satisfied with the treatment we received and the incorrect orders (which we did not send back because they were kind of busy and it would have taken too long). It was 5:30 on a Friday, so it wasn't so busy that we couldn't have been treated well. I hope your visit goes...

DO NOT go here if you can't speak Spanish! It took me 4 TIMES to get my cheese dip! Then, I was charged FULL PRICE! I tried to ask the lady bussing tables where my cheese dip was, she didn't speak English! My server did not speak good enough English to understand that I wanted cheese dip. Finally, someone came around and I asked him, does he speak English and he said yes. I explained to him that I asked my server 4 TIMES for cheese dip and his comment was "You got it, didn't you?" Not once but, 3 times. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he would get him. (Last time I saw THIS guy, he was behind the bar.) So, I went up to the 2 young ladies who were at the front (they spoke English) and they told me the manager was not there and wouldn't be there until 5. So, since I got no kind of discount for my frustration, I went out to the truck, got cash, and DID NOT leave a tip for the first time, ever in my life! The food was good but, I will NEVER go here again. There is more to a restaurant than the food... Their customer...
