Moustos Pasta & Grill — Restaurant in Dyersburg

Went on Mother's Day so we expected a decent wait time. We waited about 15 to 20 minutes before seated. Totally fine. Our server took our drink order and we ordered an appetizer at the same time as drinks. We received the drinks very quickly, all was well. Ordered our food and waited. 30 minutes later we FINALLY received appetizer. Several tables had been seated after us and were already eating their food by this time. Much larger parties I might add. We were only a table of 3 trying to do something nice for my mother that I rarely get to do these days. 😔😔 So, fast forward 30 more minutes now an hour at the table... Still no food... Every time we asked were told the exact same thing " it's about to come out now" Finally 15 minutes later after yet another table, that came in after we had, was served, I just wanted to pay for the cold appetizer and leave, so I asked for the manager to take the food off our ticket. Again, we waited and waited. Were told 3 SEPERATE TIMES the manager was coming and told that with attitude like we were wrong. I finally said forget it and got up to walk to the register where I asked them for the manager and she came straight out. She informed us she hadn't been told at all. She was super nice and tried to give us our food because it was finished an hour and a half later. I didn't notice until later than it was partly wrong and course awful because it was cold. just wanted to take mom somewhere nicer.... Walked in and noticed right away the DARK decor. All lamps have bulbs that give a gold glow. Wall decorations are typical cheap paintings that offer nothing to the ambiance. Our booth seat cushion was worn out, flat, and no comfort there at all. The whole restaurant was very clean. Our waitress was a fresh-faced young lady who only wanted to please. We ordered chicken alfredo with breaded chicken instead of the grilled and a salad. Our bread with garlic butter arrived. Butter was extremely flavorful, but the bread had no flavor at all. Drinks were Dr. Pepper. We did not receive Dr. Pepper. I don't know what it was....a mixture of 2 drinks. The waitress was made aware of it. She left and returned with the same strange drink. I drank it as it was OK. Not what I initially asked for, but hey, it is what it is. Salad arrived, and it looked wonderful until it didn't. Seems the lettuce they used was past its prime. I again made the waitress aware that there was a problem. She informed the kitchen, and they said they had just received that lettuce today. Hummmm.....I doubt it as they filled multiple bowls with that lettuce and brown lettuce is quite easy to detect. Our main course arrived. The chicken was grilled, not breaded, and was burnt black on one side. The alfredo was very good as well as the noodles. This restaurant has some really challenging business principles with their service. We paid for our food, and the server told us that this restaurant doesn't give back change. They said we either round up your change or round down the change.

However, they take change from the customer to pay their bill.

This was very confusing as a cash paying customer; and it seems like a double standard. How is it that you don't give the customers their change, but you take change from your customers??? If you as the restaurant are rounding up or rounding down the change, then the customer should have that same right. It should apply both ways or not at all.

Additionally, half our order came out cold; from the soup to the french fries, lobster, and broccoli. All cold. There were unprofessional issues with the staff and the management. As we were leaving the restaurant, the servers were standing around talking about their customers. One server said, "I couldn't be a manager." Another person then says, "I'll just talk to the customers the same way they talk to me." The entire conversation was inappropriate and very unprofessional to be having in front...
