Hobby Lobby — Local services in Dyersburg

I got some great buys on art supplies. Had a very tough time finding stencils and stamps but the staff was helpful. They just don’t have a lot. Surprised to see that there are no scanners at checkout. Took a star off for politics.

Update: so Hobby Lobby has decided to downgrade their Artist supplies. They no longer carry anything but their own brand of paints. The selection therefore is nonexistent. Unless you want their sad brand of oils or watercolor you’re out of luck. If you want other brands you’ll have to go to Michael’s. Of course there are plenty of fantastic art supplies available online: Blick, Cheap Joe’s, Jerry’s Artarama, St. Louis Art Supply, …… Now the only thing I might buy at HL is mat board. Framing is way over priced even on sale. Big mistake HL. Losing the artist community...

Brand-spanking new store, with staff that may be new, but have an air of ease and friendliness that 20 yrs couldn’t match!! All are pleasant to any questions and all extremely knowledgeable and helpful!! Let’s face it, with all the stress of masks, Covid, work, kids, LIFE; do we need more from a store?!?!? Hobby Lobby staff get you in, help you with charm and care; then make you want to come back immediately for that attention and warmth they give to their clients!!...

I have been 2 times in 3 days since it finally opened. I do love the store like I knew I would . I only have one complaint and for me it's a big one. Both times in the store I absolutely burned up . No kind of moving air and I was sweating big time. So too be sure I asked 3 customers and 2 employees and all agreed with me. It was not cold outside and I was wearing a t-shirt.
