Alright! Now that my full stomach has settled I am more than happy to give my review of this place. My wife and I decided to go eat out here despite the mixed reviews. As soon as we walked in we were comforted by a "rustic" southern, very comfortable atmosphere. The place did not have a lot of customers, maybe 3 tables were seated, which was nice for me and my wife because we like not being in a packed, chaotic atmosphere. We were seated kindly and asked what we would like to drink. I chose " of course" sweet Tea with lemon because I love sweet tea, my wife got a regular soda. The sweet tea was amazing for my taste, just perfect and no complaints from my wife on her drink. We ordered our food, I got the Country fried steak with Fries and some Coleslaw. My wife got the Chicken Monterey with a loaded Baked Potato. Our food arrived to us in a mere 18 minutes after ordering. The size of the Country Fried Steak took me aback. Its size took up half my plate, which of course made me very happy! It was the perfect size, well fitting for the actual decent price to pay. The food was amazing!! The Chicken was juicy and tender and seasoned well. The Country fried steak was cooked perfectly, a nice crust on the outside with some delicious white peppered gravy " I do wish it had more gravy haha". Half way through our meal our lovely waiter approached and we actually talked about the recent reviews of the place and it's history. Very well mannered young lady and has worked there for 2 years. She introduced us the New owner "What Luck!" Where we held a nice conversation as well and also discussed the matters of mixed reviews and what they are doing to improve. To wrap this up, this was my first time here, my wife's second time and we loved it. The food is great, timely service and a relaxed environment. We WILL be returning here again to try the BBQ next and very much look forward to it. I definitely recommend this place and I even ask others, who's experience wasn't so good, to give it a try/ (again) and please support this place through it's changes and give your feedback, even personally, to the staff so you can help them improve, or let them know how great of a job they are doing. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy your night. Sincerely: Brandon...
Read moreOrdered the brisket plate with beans and fries. If I had ordered pot roast I’d say it was ok, but unfortunately it was brisket. It has an “ok” taste but it was very stewed and a little dry.
The free bread looks nice and tastes decent but the butter is some flavorless oil spread.
The beans and fries are ok, nothing extraordinary.
The hostess and all the servers were very polite and helpful.
Over all the meal tasted like something you would wip up in a hurry at home on a budget, or maybe leftovers. I would eat here again, I just wouldn’t get the brisket, sad disaster there. :( Maybe it’s better some other time, I came on a...
Read moreWe ordered Doordash tonight we're older and don't get out often. We have been really pleased with Timbers catfish. They sent tartar sauce for my husband without asking. The fish was catfish and so good. Potatoes freshly baked onion rings were perfect. Tonight was not the case. Fish was ocean perch. Baked potatoes warmed over. Onion RIngs burnt. I tried calling to talk to manager . All she wanted to do was defend no apologies no ill look into it just straight to arguing. I couldn't believe it. It will be a long long time before we try them again we thought we had found the place to order catfish but seems...
