I had a terrible leg injury 2 weeks ago and am in a full leg brace now for 10 weeks. We had already purchased our tickets for Aug. 11 so we really wanted to go. I still don’t have a temporary handicap placard so our 2 friends and myself and hubby had to park in that gravelly, uphill, bumpy parking lot. I was thinking “there NO way I can walk down that and all the way to the fields.” A long golf cart passed us with several people on it and I breathed a sigh of relief. Yay! I could get a ride. The parking attendants were super nice but told us that they had no affiliation with the golf cart folks - the cart folks were employees of the Vikings. The attendants told us that the golf cart driver would be back but they didn’t know how long it would take. They told us where to stand so if he came back he would have to pass us. They apologized and said they didn’t even know who to call to inquire about it. We waited in the hot, smoky sun for a while and I had just about decided that I would sit somewhere in the shade and let the others in my party go ahead.
Well, one sweet young woman attendant made a couple of phone calls and then jumped on a parked cart and came and got us. She told me that she had torn her ACL a while ago and had to wear a similar brace for a long time and she remembered how awful that was and couldn’t let me just stand there and wait. She was so so nice and drove us to the entrance. I can’t tell you how much her act of kindness meant to me! Her name is AVERY....
Read moreBeautiful new training facility but difficult to work with regarding handicap accommodations. Since they made the switch to all digital tickets we have had a very difficult time getting the correct tickets (ADA accessible) to attend Minnesota Vikings events. The common attitude we have received from the staff before attending the event is that our issues are not their problem and that the individual staff are not able/qualified to resolve the issues. This year we have run into the same issues with the app and have been unable to get the proper handicap accessible tickets that we need. We have been told again to simply show up at the event and speak with someone at the event. This is not very accommodating to people who need to ensure handicap accessibility as it is difficult to have to move about significant distances at the event trying to get our questions resolved. Once we are at the event we have been very impressed with the customer service, enthusiasm, and attention to detail of the staff we have interacted with. We hope to see improved handicap customer service accommodations in the digital ticketing process in the future that match up with the very nice facility...
Read moreDisappointed with the organization and flow. 3 hours waiting prior to gate opening for autograph wrist band. 1 hour waiting for wrist band. Long lines for activities. 1 hour waiting for general admission bleachers. 1 hour wait for practice to start due to rush for seating. Seating design for first four rows is obstructed by hundreds of fans looking for seating (general admission seating was obviously oversold). 1.5 hours waiting in line for autographs. Bracelet sticker fell off on 1 of 3 kids and was denied access for fake bracelet (very disappointed young fan). Premium shaded seating went unused while there was minimal shading for thousands of general admission fans. Overall 6 hours of waiting in line (extremely hot day). Unable to view practice. Only able to participate in one activity. Went home with extremely upset young fan. Suggest assigned seating or general admission redesign. Autograph availability could be added to ticket purchase (first come, first serve) to avoid long lines and wait times. Electronic proof for Autograph selection would remove the ability to forge wristbands or vouchers. Overall, I don’t recommend attending with small children. Pretty...
