Last monday October 30 -2023 we visited the mountains and we thought going to Black Bowl would be great for a family reunion. When we arrived, it took us 10 minutes to order 2 beers to wait for the rest of the group, After then we took 2 lanes for bowling near the pool table area so that our group were close and of course do not disturb the rest of the customers when we moved from one place to another,
the problem began from the players next to us who were very noisy, they were just young men drinking alcohol and enjoying themselves, at first it seemed to be normal but it escalated over time and they began to be rude, pretending to cough loudly, talking loudly and playing rough with the lines After 20 minutes no one ever came up to take our food order but the staff were with this group of noisy kids THE WAITER was come over and sit down doing high-five all the time with this group one of they mention had 20 hours of playing and worked at the place !!
obviously no one from the staff approached to us , so we have to walk to the other side of the place in the kitchen to order our food - the food took a long time, there were only 2 pizzas and 2 orders of wings I understand if they were super busy but On our side we were only the group of this guys who already had enough food and alcohol (the WAITER who speaks Spanish ( all OUR group we speak Spanish as well ) he was very attentive to them and never approached us) we never received treatment from him - we brought children and we stopped playing for the safety of the children we were only women and children in that area while our rest of the group was at the pool table
— in reality the group was very violent throwing the balls from above towards other lanes with the intention of damaging the place and We were on one side without being able to enjoy our game, I asked the frontdesk guy to talk to them so we could play and receive our food to have a good time with the rest of the game and leave- So they left 10 minutes later but those 10 minutes were complete torture the waiter guy who only smiled at us and never apologized with us when I walked to the bathroom over the frontdesk area this group was with the rest of the staff talking and laughing - highing five with the lady who takes our food order (so our conclusion this group is with the staff of the place)
they have cameras everywhere and if the owner is interested Knowing what is happening with the business would be great to monitor what type of people work there or who they serve. We see a police officer on the bar area but never walk over the bowling area so he never realized what was happening on the other side !! For now, I am very disappointed in the place and especially in the staff who never took the time to serve us no matter what if Our group of 10 people consumed more than $500 dollars in less than 2 hours and we made our own orders walking from the bar and kitchen to our place a Today we just checked our check’s of everything we consume (after talking about our bad experience) so we see they charge more than what we ordered so that its what make me to write this revew !!! I will start by saying I am not usually one to leave a review, especially a negative one, but this experience was SO terrible I had to warn all of you. DON‘T waste your time or money at this atrocious business. Their customer service is dismal, their equipment is poor and breaks constantly. Don’t expect to have a lane ready for you no matter what is promised to you beforehand, and even if you are lucky enough to get a lane, chances are your going to be waiting for them to fix your broken lane while your time ticks down. But above all else, the most astonishing and disappointing thing about this place is the lack of integrity and poor leadership from the owner Joe himself. He has no leadership skills himself, and has recruited a spineless and incompetent management team. Read moreWe bowled for a work event. I made the reservations ahead of time. I was never asked how many people were bowling but did confirm the price per lane of $38. I also knew from the website that the shoes were $3 per person. When we arrived we were automatically charged an additional $15 per lane for shoes. We had a party of 9, someone brought their own shoes, and still was overcharged $20. I called the owner and he denied the refund.. for shoes!!! We only spent $300 between food, drink, and lanes!!! We loved the food and service, but management is lacking fundamental customer service skills.
Just told that I was charged for a service that I had not asked for! Owner of back bowl, I made the reservation with YOU. YOU stated $38 per hour. I NEVER asked your associate for an extra 30 minutes. Why would I ask for 30 extra minutes on a lane I did not use?...
