This place is usually great. And for us today it was fine. Minus the very uncomfortable situation we had to witness.. so 2 stars for our food and service being fine. But this poor couple waited over an hour for their food. The restaurant had gotten a to go order for 20-something burritos. Ok a little slow down, no big deal. And this couple was SO patient. But we and other tables ordered after them and got our food first. And in spite of that, the couple was still so patient and understanding. The server was apologetic and stated she would comp at least some of their meal. They finally get their food and the guy wants his hashbrowns crispy. (My husband also had hashbrowns and he described them as buttery, not crispy at all, which he was fine with) And because he requested that, the owner came out of the kitchen and felt the need to explain to him it would take another 15 minutes to get crispy hashbrowns (because of the temperature of their flat top??) Maybe the staff hadn't conveyed to the owner just how long this couple had been waiting, but asking them to wait another 15 minutes was ridiculous. The owner didn't even attempt to correct the situation for them. Just argued and escalated the situation to the point the man was angry and standing up in his face. And honestly besides getting in his face I'm with the customer on this one.. I've worked in food service, it would have been so easy to throw a frying pan on a burner, crank the heat and get the man some crispy hashbrowns. The whole thing ended with the man getting in the owners face a little before walking out the door with all of the servers screaming at him. It didn't need to end like that... Kind of soured our good breakfast experience and considering we rarely eat out we're not inclined...
Read moreI do not recommend this place. I ordered a cup of chili and when she brought it out it looked great but there was no cheese on it I asked if she could bring a side of shredded cheese, and just as I’m ready to taste it with my spoon she grabs the chili and whisks it away and returns after a few minute with cheese on it but now it’s cold? Ok that is a pet peeve to put food in front of me then take it away. Then comes my grilled guacamole veggie sandwich, it was supposed to have pepper jack cheese on it but there’s orange cheese on it on one side. I asked the waitress what kind of cheese is on there and she says that doesn’t look right to me and again whisks away my food. When she finally brought it back the fries were not re made so they were cold and the sandwich was swimming in butter with hardly any avocado on and tons of stringy onions, I guess they are trying to save a buck by cutting corners & it is very obvious. This behavior by the waitress I felt was very passive aggressive and because of that made for an unpleasant lunch experience also their prices are way to high and low quality food not worth it. Go somewhere else is my advice. The only reason I gave an extra star was because they took $10 off the bill however none of that should have happened in the...

During a trip through Colorado, a group of nine of us stopped at Eagle Diner — and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we’ve had.
The atmosphere is pure retro charm: classic black-and-white checkered floors, colorful leather seating, pink tables, cozy booths, and walls adorned with vintage artwork. Every detail feels authentic and incredibly well-maintained. The place was spotless — from the dining area to the restrooms, which were impeccably clean right from opening time.
The staff was outstanding. Our server was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming, with a smile throughout. Service was fast, smooth, and without a single flaw.
And then there’s the food. I ordered the “Monster Burger”: double patty, double cheese — a true flavor bomb, perfectly cooked and satisfying. I paired it with a fresh, delicious lemonade that was constantly refilled before I even noticed it was getting low.
In short, Eagle Diner isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a time machine, a haven for classic comfort food, and home to one of the best burgers I’ve had...
