This is an nice hotel to stay in. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, the indoor pool is heated and the hot tub is nice to use.
The pool closes at 10 PM, and at ONE minute before 10, they walk in and tell you to leave, even standing over you while you dry off. We stay at Choice Hotels in this area for snow skiing every week, we are regulars, they know us, and there are other "choices" available. For this reason, year after year, we only stay in this hotel when the other nearby Choice hotels are booked. This was on a Saturday & Sunday night the hotel was empty, we were the only 2 people in the hot tub area.
I've never even once been recognized as an Elite Diamond status member.
I've asked for upgrades as an Elite Diamond member, and always told no.
There is no extra 200 points or a free snack offered here for Elite members.
This is the only Comfort Inn we've found that doesn't have coffee and hot chocolate out all day in the lobby area.
On the positive side, the owner lady makes the eggs fresh, these are cracked fresh eggs folks, something you won't find in most hotels. The eggs are great! Everything else is going to be hard to find, as you often have to ask the owner who sits in the breakfast room and watches over you as you eat, for extra paper plates, forks, muffins, milk and yogurts. But the eggs are good.
We also notice, our room has 2 towels instead of 4 towels. All Comfort Inn's have 4 towels. If we want 2 towels, we will stay at a Roadway! We are paying for Comfort Inn. Come on guys, read your other reviews.
The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, refrigerators are the smallest I've ever seen in a Choice Hotel, the toilets clog easy (be sure to use the double flush plan) and the bath tub shower creeks every time you move your feet, the Wi-Fi is horribly slow, if you have hot spot, bring it.
The staff is very friendly. This is a family run operation. We like everyone.
Seems like the owners may be running "Too Tight Of a Ship"! At least put out coffee & hot chocolate in the lobby like every other Comfort Inn on the planet!
Beaver Creek Comfort Inn, Summit Quality, Summit Comfort, Glenwood Quality are all very relaxed. We don't get that feeling here. For this reason, we book most of our nights at the other hotels and only stay in Eagle when we have to. A couple of small tweeks to their operations and we would stay here all of our 60-90 nights in the winter.
If this were a Quality Inn, I would give it a 5 star. Maybe it should be a...
Read moreAfter a 16.5 hour long journey by car from Chicago, I was welcomed by friendly and accommodating staff and management. This hotel has everything you need and more. There is plenty of parking, the wi-fi is reliable, the rooms are pristine, and the beds/pillows are incredibly comfortable. It felt so good to rest after a long car ride. There is a pool, a ski storage area, and easy access to the highway and airport (did I mention free shuttles?). For its proximity to the highway, I was surprised that the hotel maintained a quiet and secluded ambiance with beautiful, sweeping views of the mountains and apple trees on the property. It’s truly surprising how close this hotel is to the highway and stores/restaurants. This hotel is situated right next to a grocery/liquor store and a Starbucks. The ability to walk over in the mornings to get my Starbucks fix was a big plus. The walkability of this location is great. Knowing that I can walk over to the store if I forgot something was very reassuring. The location is truly a major plus. It’s close to Vail/Copper Mountain, but you are also in a great place to travel to Aspen or Glenwood Springs. During my 3-day stay, I was able to visit Vail, Aspen, Frisco, Glenwood Canyon/ Hanging Lake, and even the Arches National Park in Utah. The continental breakfast was delicious. The staff actually cracks eggs and scrambles them for breakfast. The fact that the owners prepare the breakfast for you like this adds the personal touch of a family-owned business. The location, beautiful views, fantastic amenities, great value, and friendly service have led me to give this location a 5 star rating. I will...
Read moreThe hotel was convenient to a grocery store, restaurants, and the interstate. Our room was on the backside of the hotel and we did not hear any traffic noise. Our room had a lamp and nightstand between two queen beds, a clock, closet, desk with chair, microwave, and mini-fridge. The room had two luggage racks which is nice. The sink was in the bedroom. The bathroom had a toilet and a tub/shower. The bath towels were a good size. The room air conditioning/heating unit did not have any indication of temperature so just had to guess at what to set it, somewhere between 0 and 10. Breakfast was okay. The only fresh fruit was bananas. |The elevator was not working which we knew when we made the reservation. That is an amenity that should be fixed within a day a two but I did not get the impression that it was something they were working urgently. |The lobby restrooms were shut up with coverings over the signs. We were told that we had to use the bathroom in our room; not something that one wants to hear after traveling a long distance and with a queue waiting to check in. Not something a “quality” hotel would do, rather it is something that a cheap...
