We bought our van sight unseen (we live in STL) and my husband flew to PA to bring it home. We felt comfortable doing this because Four Way was very knowledgeable about the van and had good reviews online, but it still made us nervous to spend so much money on a vehicle we’d never seen in person.
Approximately 2-3 months after buying the van, a few things went wrong: we blew out a tire while towing and all 4 tires ended up needing replacement, a seal on the front windshield came off and needed repaired, and we realized the AC did not work when towing. Unfortunately, we were slightly beyond the warranty provided by Four Way (partially due to it being nearly 1k miles to drive home) when most of these things came to light or broke.
I am happy to report that upon contacting Four Way to express our concerns, they did more than we expected. We hoped they’d help us cover the costs, but they covered them all. They reimbursed us for the new set of tires (including the roadside service fee we had to pay), reimbursed us for the windshield seal repair, and mailed us the parts for my husband to repair the AC and had one of their mechanics give him instructions. (My husband’s preference was to complete the repair himself. They were also willing to walk a mechanic local to us through the repair if we desired.)
All in all, it was a little frustrating to have some of these things go wrong but things happen sometimes. Four Way was responsive and showed tremendous customer service when they were informed of our troubles. Although we plan to drive this van for a decade or more, we would not hesitate to do another long distance transaction with them again should...
Read moreDon't be fooled by the reviews. Most are left by local buyers who will deal with them or someone they know as customers on an ongoing basis. I drove 2 hours each way to look at a van to pull a car trailer to shows with my family, and most are severely over priced, even higher than KBB retail prices. When I politely pointed out that there's so little difference than buying new I got such an attitude, these people act like they are the last place on the planet selling used vans, even when I bought my used 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO did I not have to deal with such dealer attitude. They are flipping auction cars, not doing medical marvels. The price was a huge shock, but the attitude was what really disappointing. I can imagine these people feeling like they are too special and important to help me with any warranty issues that come up down the road, maybe if you're local you can stop and see what they have, but don't go out of your way like I did. Also, many of the KBB review sites won't post a bad review to someone who is somehow indirectly a customer or advertiser, that's another reason they have so many high reviews and so few (any?) negative ones on most sites. I'm still disappointed I wasted gas and 4 hours of my life driving to see such...
Read moreRodney, Glenda, and Travis ... kinder people don't exist. Rodney as our salesperson was transparent, kind, helpful, and patient with us through the entire process of purchases an 8 passenger Waldoch conversion Ford Transit 250. He helped research financing, arranged for smooth and affordable transportation. His warm and trusting demeanor allowed us to move forward with this expensive purchase remotely without having driven or seen the vehicle in person. Glenda always answers the phones with a warm disposition and is happy to help. When we needed help understanding where the Airlift valves were, Travis from Service couldn't have been more happy to help and walk us through finding them. The process made you feel like they care about you before, during, and EVEN after your sale. If you are thinking about getting a van, these are the people you should visit,...
