My husband & I came in 6/14 to buy a recliner. They ordered recliner, & it would be @ store Wed 6/18. Wed 6/18 called store around 3:00. Ann said chair ready to pick up & store open until 7. Went with friend in her husband's truck. Went in store & checked in & told to go to back & loader would meet us. We went to back, & dock was a ways back from driveway & it was narrow at some spots, had dumpsters, & at an angle. We drove forward versus backing up. Bruce, the loader, was extremely rude. Chair wasn't ready & still in box. Unpacked chair & Bruce took a garden sprayer & sprayed chair with a protective chemical for warranty. Bruce said he was doing us a favor loading chair as he was off the clock. My friend & I helped Bruce load the chair in the truck. When chair was in the truck, Bruce sprayed the chair some more. We knew my friend's husband was not going to be happy having that chemical on his bed liner, & if any overspray got on the paint. When we got to my house & unloaded the chair; the chair was so wet we couldn't put it together & use it (the top & bottom were separate pieces). Also, noticed a stitch pulled out of the chair. I called the store & talked to Ann again. She was very rude. I explained the chair was soaking wet from the spray. She said don't worry about it, and it dries quick. I told her about the chair not being ready, & it wasn't sprayed yet. She said she asked the loader that morning if the furniture that had come in that day was ready to go, & loader said it was. She said, “I guess if you want something done right, she should have gone back there & sprayed it herself or made sure it was done. She said she was doing us a favor, letting us pick up the chair after 4, because warehouse closed. This was 2nd time we were told they were doing us a favor, first by the loader & then by her. I said, "What do you mean the warehouse closes at 4?" I told her I called earlier, & she didn't tell me warehouse closed @ 4 (we arrived around 5ish). I told her I came in the store 1st & she didn't say anything about warehouse being closed. Sent pictures to Ann, because chair was still soaking wet, and the pulled-out stitch. Ann then asked; "What do you want us to do about it?" She told me, we'll come pick up the chair & bring you another chair back out. On 6/21, chair still not picked up, so my husband and I went to the store. I talked to Joe McCavitt, the Manager, & he was very rude. He said, "I saw the pictures, and so what?" He also said; "You are one customer, & we have a million customers & don't need you." He said there was no way the chair was still wet the next day. We were liars. He said y'all showed up after 4, & again I was told we are doing you a favor, letting you pick up the chair after 4. Joe said it was on our paperwork that the warehouse closed at 4. I told Joe it wasn't on the paperwork, & would he show me where it stated that? (I had the paperwork in hand). He said he didn't need to show me anything, & it was there. It's not on there & I'll attach a picture. He also made a big deal that we didn't back up behind two buildings (the bowling alley & Farmers) to load & loader had to load by himself, & it was a huge issue since the truck wasn't backed up to the dock. It didn't matter if truck backed up to the dock or not; it's a big truck dock & at least two foot taller than truck bed. I helped Bruce carry bottom piece & load in truck. My friend loaded top part herself. Joe insinuated that I was lying, & Bruce did all loading. I went to car & got my 80-year-old husband to come in & tell Joe exactly condition of chair, & it was still wet next day. Joe managed to get up in my husband's face & called us liars again. Bruce came to pick up the recliner & he was very apologetic for his part in all this fiasco, & that there was no support from the others at the store. This was a terrible and awful experience. One I wouldn't want to...
Read moreCan you give these places a 0 rating? I haven't had my washer a year yet and the service guy has been out here 3 times and I am currently waiting on a new drum to be delivered to my house from whirlpool because apparently my washer was defective in the first place. Are they trying to make it right? NO ANN in the office is more worried about going by PROTOCOL than making it right with a paying customer. I do not know how they have stayed in business so long. Preying on the credit changelled and selling them garbage furniture and appliances because they think we have no other choices. We have plenty of choices and I would warn you from going here and direct you to small business places downtown. By Anna's own admission They don't make quality appliances. But she sure does continue to sell them and not make it right when they break. It's the washer that keeps breaking, it's the condescending tone, the idc attitude. I'm just over it and want a washer that works! **Update I reached out directly today and because I have a warranty, I should be happy they are doing all the repairs for free. They cannot comprehend, I am paying for that warranty so they are doing me no big favor. All I wanted to do was turn the bad washer in for a better washer and pay the difference but Noone would listen to me. It doesn't matter who I am or where I came from they should treat me with respect. No matter the outcome, Farmers Furniture owes me an apology for the way I...
Read moreWe’ve had accounts with farmers furniture for just about 8 years now, and we relocated recently. I’ve NEVER had such a terrible experience with a Farmers EVER. They started making our agreement before we had even decided on anything, and wanted us to sign and get out of there. We were told delivery would be Wednesday, so I called to verify that everything was set up ( they had told me they didn’t know what all was coming on this truck). The lady I spoke to was super rude when she told me “ Your delivery is scheduled for Saturday. “ I told her we were told that it would be Wednesday and she said “ well they have you set for Saturday but you’re one of the first ones so they’ll call when they’re on the way.” She said they usually finished loading the truck around 9:30-10 depending on the furniture, and they’d be on the way shortly after. Today comes around, and I call. Apparently we WERE set up for Wednesday but someone moved us. We weren’t one of the first ones either. It’s almost 1pm and I’m still waiting and they said it would be around 3. The lady on the phone was apologetic( I think it was Ann? ) and said she would refund the delivery charge. ( which I think is fair considering everything) I normally wouldn’t care, but my husband works overnight, so I’ve been waiting to go to the store and get things done because I’ve been waiting on this delivery. It’s been a huge inconvenience for me. Will edit on condition of furniture when it...
