Quality Inn & Suites Easley - Greenville — Hotel in Easley

I have to say up front that they have a very courteous staff, honest and helpful staff. I usually leave all the things in my pockets and watches, etc...in the night stand beside my bed when I go to sleep for the night. The next morning, I get up, take a shower, dress, put on my items from the night stand, pack, check out and eat breakfast before hitting the road. I did exactly what I described and was forty miles down the road when I realized that my wedding ring was not on. I immediately thought of the night stand and how it could have gotten in a corner and I missed it. I went on to drive another 260 miles, check into my vacation hotel at Mrytle Beach and then called back. The clerk said she would check, lost and found and if she didn't find it there, she would personally go to the room and look in the night stand. She said to give her a few moments and she would return my call with what she did or didn't find. She called me back in less than five minutes and had found it in the night stand. She took down my mailing address and said she would give them to the manager in the morning. Much to my delight, my ring is already back home waiting for me! It's not a huge expensive wedding ring, just a gold band but I have been married to my wife for over 24 years and it has become a part of my life. The sentimental value is priceless. This motel is not up to the standards that I have come to expect from the Choice hotels group.

It is a very old motel that has only been cosmetically (paint) updated.

The rooms are very small and crowded.

Our room seemed clean but other reviewers commented about dirt and bugs.

It is very noisy there due to being so close to the busy road with lots of noisy trucks, cars and motorcycles.

If that is not bad enough there is also a train track nearby with trains passing by very often. Could not sleep without earplugs installed.

No need to ask the desk for a wake up call as there are birds nesting in the soffit right outside the door to wake you just before sunrise.

After the first night I mentioned to the desk clerk that the bath and sink drains were very slow.

She said that they would take care of it. They never did.

We could not shower without standing up to our ankles in soapy water.

The bath room was so small there is not enough room to change your mind.

The room smelled humid and musty during our entire stay even with the air conditioner running the whole time. It was not working properly.

On the good side the fridge/freezer worked well and was quiet.

The TV was a newer flat screen but the channel choices were very limited.

The Wifi worked acceptable and is a secure network with a password that changes daily.

The breakfast was okay with some hot and cold selections but the choices were very limited.

The coffee was good.

Overall the quality was not very good at the Quality...

Stayed at this hotel because it is pet-friendly. Was not thrilled about having to walk my leashed dog in the vicinity of a group of people that looked like they were at the hotel for a long-term stay (indoor furniture was outside their door so they could "hang out" outside) and let their pit bull sit around OFF-LEASH in the same area. This was the second time I stayed at the hotel and while my first stay was nice and quiet and uneventful, this last stay had teenagers playing basketball in the parking lot and children running around and screaming in the evenings.

My hotel room had a lock on the door that although was a deadbolt, did not engage very well. Coupled with the loose door frame, the door could have easily been opened. When I checked in the room didn't seem very clean; there was hair in and around the sink, some dirt on the floor in obvious places, and pillowcases that had noticeable dirt on them.. I will return to this hotel only if I absolutely have to. I stay at a lot of pet-friendly hotels throughout the year with my dogs because we compete, so I greatly appreciate the hotels that offer the amenity... but I do have minimum requirements for safety and cleanliness and this hotel is getting crossed off the list.
