I went to the AT&T store at East Bradford Plaza in West Chester expecting a simple transfer of three iPhones from Verizonâbut walked away feeling misled and overcharged.
The rep, Max, never mentioned the $35 activation fee per device. I found out only after my first bill arrivedânearly $500, more than double what I expected.
Max also told me adding my daughterâs Apple Watch and tablet would cost âa couple more dollars a month.â In reality, they added $32/monthâplus activation fees. If Iâd been told the truth up front, I wouldâve never added those devices.
I called the store to raise my concerns. Max wasnât available, and the rep I spoke to, Eric, admitted it was frustrating but said there was nothing he could do. He told me to call AT&T customer service. Thankfully, their corporate team fixed it: they removed the charges, canceled the added lines, and issued refunds.
Still, the damage was done. I felt completely misled and taken advantage of. This wasnât a small oversightâit was a failure in basic honesty and customer service. If AT&T wants long-term customer loyalty and a strong reputation, they need to hold their retail reps accountable.

Ge explained n outlined the bill so I can hopefully get it resolved now that I understand the king of prussia errors.
