Restaurante Morelos — Restaurant in West Chester

This was my inaugural visit and driving past many times and recommended by a friend. For starters, the server spoke little to no English and didn't understand me half the time when I requested hot sauce. I ordered the Choripollo and the chicken was tough but did like the chorizo. I also ordered chorizo tacos Tex Mex style and they were delicious. However, I felt the prices were bloated and the food was mediocre at best. Furthermore, the corn tortillas were good but the cheese sauce was bland. Like most Mexican places around here, the refried beans were mushy and lacked cheese too.

I don't understand why these Mexican joints around here serve mozzarella cheese. It belongs on a pizza or Italian food not on Mexican food. Totally disgusting! They should be serving cotija or jack cheese. No bueno! I don't think I'll be back except for...

The Carne Asade is the perfect platter. Grilled Jalapeno, Young Onion, Nopales, and a heathly portion of rice, beans and thin sliced, nicely seared steak with an appropriate sized stack of the wonderful tortilla's.
