I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the treatment my 14-year-old child received while volunteering at CCAA. As a parent, I entrusted this organization with the well-being and growth of my child, only to witness an experience that was disheartening and completely unacceptable.
My child, driven by a genuine desire to engage in selfless service, dedicated their time and energy to support this organization. However, instead of fostering a positive environment for learning and development, my child was met with a shocking level of disrespect and cruelty. I was appalled to discover that instead of involving the appropriate adults to address any concerns, my child received a rude feedback email highlighting their alleged mistakes as a volunteer.
In this day and age, when mental health issues among teenagers are becoming increasingly prevalent, it is unfathomable that a person like Samantha Diamond, who supposedly holds a position of authority and responsibility, would demonstrate such heartless behavior towards a young volunteer. It is clear that Samantha Diamond lacks the necessary skills and empathy required to effectively interact and deal with children. I would strongly advise against anyone considering sending their child to this place under the management of Samantha Diamond. The emotional well-being and overall experience of young individuals should be a top priority in any organization, especially those involving young volunteers. Unfortunately, this place has shown a complete disregard for such fundamental principles. It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a wakeup call to the management of CCAA and that they take immediate steps to rectify the issues surrounding their treatment of volunteers, particularly children. No child should ever have to endure such inhumane treatment, and it is crucial for the well-being of future volunteers that necessary changes are implemented. I strongly encourage the management to reassess their leadership and training practices to ensure that all individuals involved in the organization, especially those interacting with young volunteers, possess the appropriate skills, empathy, and compassion required for such crucial roles.
It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, as I had initially hoped for a positive experience for my child. However, I feel it is my responsibility to share my experience to protect other parents and their children from similar...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have taken two classes here in the past year. The first was a lovely alcohol inks class, but the second was a pretty terrible watercolor class. The teacher, Mark, could barely get a sentence out without making some sort of ājokeā that only he found funny. There was no official supply list shared with recommended brands, and he spent the first class shaming all of the supplies everyone brought with very little painting involved. In the second class, new people joined, and he proceeded to again judge what they brought with them for the first half of class. I couldnāt bring myself to go to any more of the sessions with him. I havenāt yet decided if I will go back after that experience, despite loving my first...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife spent 15 years painting here, and could not say enough about her teacher, Mark, and her classmates.
I had my 13 yo grandson here for a 2 week period, and he enjoyed it. He showed a natural talent for drawing, and painting on canvas, which he had previous experience. His teachers were excellent, and very patient with the class, which they kept to a small all encompassing...
