Did you ever get so excited after your 1st experience at a restaurant that you not only couldn't wait to go back, but also wanted to tell everyone you know about a new "hidden gem"? I've been thinking about trying this breakfast/lunch place Two Birds Cafe , since they opened in 2019. I finally got to take my family on Sunday for brunch. All I can say is WOW, just WOW !!
The four of us split a slice of coffee crumb cake and a cinnamon bun to start our meal. They were both super fresh and delicious. Best cinnamon bun I've ever had !! Not overpowering cinnamon (like most ) and the Icing wasn't too sweet. AMAZING !!! The Crumb Lovers Cake was served warm which gave it that "just out of the oven" vibe. Very nice touch !
3 of us got the Classic Eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfectly poached, hollandaise was exceptional with a velvety consistency and lemony zing. So good, I asked for extra !! I noticed that The "Canadian Bacon" was Smokey and way better than average. It elevated the entire dish. My wife got the Brisket Omelet which was beautifully cooked and loaded with shredded, super flavourful Brisket . All of our platters came with potatoes that were enhanced with fresh herbs and perfectly seasoned. I forgot to ask what brand coffee they use, but it was noticeably fresh and hot. Can't wait to go back and try the French Toast, Pancakes and the entire lunch menu. Everything was Eggsceptional not even eggsagerating 🤣🤣 Last but not least, the entire staff was friendly and efficient. So glad to support this local family's small business. Positively our new Sunday brunch go-to ! My only regret is that we forgot to take photos. ...

This place has pretty good reviews, and I can see why after trying it out ourselves.
Restaurant: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Parking: Very limited and no street parking.
-Restaurant- First thing we noticed when we arrived was how small the restaurant is compare to the pictures we saw. However, once you walk in, it feels very homey, there's plenty of chairs for people waiting to be seated. The decor is very good. Once you walk past the waiting area to be seated, you will see a display of baked goods, all homemade (Definitely take some to go if you're too full to try it out at the restaurant). Only minor complain I have is, even though we see them clean the tables between each service. I don't think the tables were deep cleaned every night after closing. Our table was very sticky, same with the salt and pepper bottles.
-Service- Expect what you would normally get at any diners. Nothing that will blow your mind, but it was good service. Our waitress was able to answer most of our questions.
-Food- We ordered: -Breakfast burritos (Burrito itself has great flavor, however the potatoes lacked seasoning. -Small sides of Pancake and bacon (Pancake was very fluffy, bacon is well cooked) -Iced Coffee (Good) -Cinnamon bun to go (Good)
NOTE: Some items you see on reviews might not be available when you visit, since they are seasonal. Because unfortunately what I really wanted to try was not on the menu (Huevos rancheros). Also Parking situation can be a little difficult, especially on weekends.
Overall a good breakfast restaurant, definitely...
Read moreI recently tried the Eggs Benedict Southern style, and I was pleasantly surprised. The fried tomato added a nice twist, although it did have a bit of an oily taste that sometimes overpowered the other flavors. The sauce, however, was exceptional and truly made the dish stand out.
As for the cinnamon bun, it was a bit dry, likely from sitting out for a while, but the cream cheese frosting was light, airy, and had a lovely citrus flavor that complemented the cream cheese perfectly. I didn't get to try the scone, but they all looked fantastic.
My farro salad was decent, though it felt like it was missing something. I think a roasted red pepper aioli or a drizzle of hollandaise would have elevated the dish, and maybe some feta too. While it was filling, it felt a bit underwhelming and overpriced for what it was.
The place was really busy, but we were put on the waitlist and were promptly seated after just 25 minutes. Our food came out fairly fast, even though some others who ordered sandwiches seemed to wait longer. Despite the crowd and the noise in this smaller space, the service was really great, which was quite impressive.
The coffee, unfortunately, was a bit disappointing; it lacked boldness, though I did appreciate that it was locally sourced from Lamont Coffee. The orange juice wasn't freshly squeezed, but it had a fair taste overall.
In summary, the meal had its highlights and low points, but it was...
