Had THE BEST experience at Lou's Jewelers. Literally felt like I was in a commercial for Olive Garden - - When You're Here, You're Family! Rita and Lou 100% made me feel like family. So welcoming and personable. They went above and beyond and exceeded all my expectations. I had called to inquire about children's crosses and spoke to Rita on the phone. She was SO PLEASANT and informative. When I asked what time they closed, Rita had said 5:30. As I was trying to figure out in my head how in the world I could make it from my job back to town before 5:30, Rita said “Don’t worry if you are late, just let me know what day you are coming in and we will stay open for you.” Hope for humanity restored. Not only did Rita and Lou stay open later to accommodate my schedule, they didn't kick me to the curb for asking a billion questions. They answered them all knowledgeable and honestly. I picked a beautiful cross out for my goddaughter and then Rita showed me probably about 20 chains till I finally found one I liked to go with the cross. Never once did she rush me or was she anything less than spectacular. Even though it was way past their closing time, they shined up the new cross and chain for me and put it in lovely box and bag as well. Lou also answered some questions for me about my wedding band set and offered to clean my rings for me while I was there. Again, not rushing me or upset in any way that I was keeping them well past closing time. My experience was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s nice to know there are still kind, and caring individuals out there who will go the extra mile for you.

Rita and Lou are the perfect pair and owners and I will definitely be back there for all my jewelry...

If you’re in the market for all types of jewelry you’ve struck gold here (excuse the pun)! Not only are the prices more than reasonable, you’ll be dealing with two of the nicest people in East Hanover - professional, knowledgeable and informative. Also, when leaving their business you’ve realized your knowledge of jewelry has increased, and you have two new friends to boot. They are husband and wife Lou and Rita - a class act in town. In a day and age when you wait 15-20 minutes in a “Q”on the phone after calling a large corporation, or put on hold forever waiting for a computer tech etc.. well, you get the picture. Lou and Rita are the polar opposite of that; friendly and accessible with a smile for all, while patiently answering questions. From sophisticates to novices the treatment remains the same. I originally came in for a simple repair of (I hate to admit) a fun costume jewelry earing. I was reluctant to stay after seeing the absolutely stunning fine jewelry around me... but they are truly a full service Jewelry store and immediately made me feel so welcome by their warmth and attention. The website briefly describes them as a family run business but misses by a mile. I have returned easily a half a dozen times since that first recent visit... after being made to feel like family myself by both Lou and his lovely wife Rita.

I can't tell you how much it means to be greeted with a smile by name! The jewelry is second to none and boasts some incredible originals by Lou that put the rest of their amazing inventory to shame.

Just ask you to show some of those pieces! The store front may not dazzle like the jewelry and people inside... but be prepared to be dazzled once you stop in.
