Very politely asked store leadership to correct their Friday card launch program to how all the other area stores operate, and place a picture or list of what product will available at the 3:00 p.m. Friday collectables sale. Multiple people have asked store leadership on MULTIPLE occasions over the past month to politely accommodate them with a list or picture so that the people that do choose to wait in line for some 6+ hours know what they are waiting for. After scalpers ring all other stores dry of cards. This is my last opportunity for the week to get them. It is outrageous that this store can not make this happen. They waste multiple customers time every Friday by not doing so. Resulting in lines of sometimes 25+ people. The store could cut that in less than half if they would just post what is available. You would think due to covid-19 they would be all over thay but they are not. They think it's funny to waste people's time. The electricics counter employee on duty for these days says theg have too much work to do and is too busy just to take a minute of their time to take a picture or make a list but has at least half an hour or more to talk to an off the clock deli employee while 25 people are standing in line pleading for a list. Another customer in elections unrelated to the collectibles line had to get out his phone and call the store (that he was standing in) to get help because no one was around. I was told that the store director who made these decisions would come back to the line and talk to us about getting a picture up when we confronted store management at noon. When that person came back from lunch. That never happened but that person and the manager we spoke too walked passed us multiple times between then and 3pm and never said a word or even looked in our direction. Not to mention the sale says 3pm not when the staff gets around to it as we have been dealing with over the course of the last month. This is an embarrassment. I come and wait because otherwise I wouldn't have any other opportunity and they know it. The already poor experience of having to wait in line so much worse here and they are unwilling to make normal accomodations like all other area...
Read moreBeware, the East Lansing Meijer is selling their refrigerated probiotics that expired 3 months past the expiration date. They are doing so at a price $13 over the price marked. I shop the Mason Meijer more than EL but use this location quite often. The lady at the service counter was helpful enough but there was an effort to point out that I was wrong about the price of the product. However, I had double checked so I asked for a manager and asked him to come with me and look at what I was stating. As I showed this to him, it was clear he was irritated by my complaint and attention to detail. I told him that this was not the first time for incorrect pricing and said that people are growing tired of it and will continue to complain even more, which clearly disgusted him. I then stated that next time if I have $100 worth of items I will return every "damn" item. Damn is a synonym of darn and I occasionally use that word and the lack of service that seems to be the norm at this store, was very frustrating. Well, he got triggered by the word damn and raised his voice saying "that's it, you're swearing at me so you have to leave or I'm calling the police. Don't come back." I said ok but every "damn" item and I'll be back. I can only assume he's elitist and/or butt-hurt. Likely both. At the Mason store we see the managers on the floor interacting with customers and even stocking shelves. I go into this East Lansing store often and have never seen this guy. People are getting frustrated with poor service in so many different areas of business. I know they're going to make mistakes but, they're not trying to make it right when they do. Will we keep lying down while prices skyrocket...
Read moreI would post a -0 if it was optional. Cashier service sucks.. Do not go-to Cashier Bibis' line. She was so rude to me. She overcharged me for 1 box of trash bags. She scanned mine twice and scanned the customers behind me. She was told by 3 people they were on sale for $5.99 and that's all I should have been charged for plus tax. She wanted me to pay $18.53.. Again as she is yelling at me. I told her no I should only be charged the $5.99 plus tax. I tried to explain she scanned my 1 box twice and the customers behind me which means she scanned the trash bags 3 times. She just continued to yell at me. I told the bagger lady to please call the manager. Bibi said the bagger couldn't call the manager only she can and refused. A worker a few isles down heard the cashier verbally fighting with me and she came and tried to tell the cashier Bibi to step aside and be quiet, she again refused. So she called the manager to come because of her verbally fighting with me. They said they were voided off. Finally after a half hr dealing with this the manager went a head and charged me for 1 box of trash bags at $5.99 with tax. I received my receipt and it clearly showed 2@$5.99 for trash bags all she had to do is void the 2 off and the correct price would have shown. No she wanted to raise her voice and yell at me for her own mistake. I took the receipt and showed the bagger lady and the other worker that came to help. She greatly apologized over and over. All I know is Bibi should not work in any kind of customer service. I hope she gets recommended for her actions...
