Sir Pizza - Lake Lansing — Restaurant in East Lansing

If I could give this place and its staff a zero rating, I would. This evening my fiancée and I had the single most awful pizza experience in our lives. We called this location and a guy named Keith answered the phone with the most lethargic, "I hate my job" attitude. We asked him if they delivered to our address and he responded, "yes." We then place an order for delivery. About a half hour later, we get a call from a female saying she's having a difficult time finding our house. We give her directions and continue waiting. After about 3 more phone calls in which she can't figure out where we live, I offer to meet her at a nearby gas station. I drive there and she's not there. My fiancée calls her again and she says that she is at a different gas station. I finally call the restaurant and tell Keith that I will just drive and pick up a fresh pizza because this girl can't figure it out and the pizza has to be frozen by now. It is 10:30pm and the roads are awful, so my fiancée doesn't feel that this is right. She ends up calling the restaurant back and asks for someone else to deliver a fresh pizza. He asks for our address again, she gives it to him again and he responds, "we don't deliver to your address." I'm now in my car driving home and my fiancée calls me to say, "please just come home...I'll make something." She proceeds to tell me what happened in the last conversation with Keith and I'm now livid. I call the restaurant and ask what the hell this is all about. He claimed that he wasn't the original person that took the order (he was), we didn't tell him exactly where we lived (we did) and they don't deliver to our address. I responded, "it was you on the phone & we told you our full address" to which he responded, "THEN CALL MY BOSS TOMORROW AND TELL HIM" and HUNG UP! This is exactly the type of business that should not be in business. I WILL NEVER TOUCH A SIR PIZZA...

I'm assigning a one-star rating, and this rating is solely based on this single experience. I am genuinely astounded by the events of this evening.

I placed our usual order: a large pepperoni feast with extra cheese and a medium pizza with pepperoni, ham, bacon, black olives, green olives, and extra cheese. To my surprise, the pizzas were not prepared as per my expectations. They lacked the extra cheese, and portions of the pizza had just pizza sauce with no toppings. This was not what I'm used to.

Feeling the need to provide feedback, I called the store. Keep in mind, I've been a loyal customer for over 8 years and maybe complained one other time. Initially, I spoke with an employee and requested to speak with a manager. Hunter took the call, and I expressed my dissatisfaction. After sharing my concerns, he briefly put me on hold and returned with the response: "I asked the team who made it, and they said they did put extra cheese on it." I responded, "Hunter, I can take pictures or bring the pizzas back to the store. Actually, never mind I'd like the owners contact information." To which Hunter replied, "They're going to tell you the same thing, Greg."

I then asked for the owner's name and contact information. Hunter gave me the phone number to the store, which I recognized as a loyal customer. I asked for the owner's name once more, and he provided me with the main office number. I plan to contact them tomorrow.

After giving me the main office number, Hunter's parting words were, "Good luck on your pizza embarkment!” and...

I lived in Lansing in the mid 80’s until the early 90’s. Sir Pizza delivery’s were a common occurrence in our home. I’m personally not a fan of pizza but the first time I had their pizza I was hooked. Everything from the crust to the cheese on top were perfect. My favorites are the sauce which isn’t overpowering with seasoning, the way the toppings cover the entire top of the pizza and the pepperoni which they dice into little pieces. Cost is a little higher than other places but remember a quarter (sometimes more) of your pizza isn’t crust. The toppings are so delicious you will definitely be a return customer. The employees are always kind and helpful. FYI if you’re eating in the different locations carry either Coke OR Pepsi products I haven’t been to one which carries both BUT if your like me I could care less about that I only go for the phenomenal pizza 🍕...
