Doza's Dogs — Local services in East Palo Alto

I am based in Belmont and choose to drive 30 minutes in rush-hour traffic every day to get to Doza's Dogs in East Palo Alto. I do this happily of course because Doza's Dogs has been hands down the best daycare/boarding place I have ever brought my golden retriever to. He first went to Doza's as a puppy at just months old and got some wonderful socialization and exercise with the other dogs at Doza's. Omar, the business owner, went out of his way to learn all of my dog's needs and personality traits to determine the best care and exercise for him. That is to say that Omar and his team go above and beyond to learn about every dog and place them into different exercise activities accordingly (whether that be long walks or just off-leash play on their fenced farm). My pup is currently 1.5 years old with lots of energy still, and he comes home more than happy and tired out each time. I also have to mention that Omar is the nicest human but also a solid professional who is very on top of business. Omar is frequently sending me updates of my pup playing with other dogs or quickly responding to any messages I send. I am so so confident in Omar and his team to treat my dog and all the other dogs under their care like literal kings and queens. I have been using Doza's for months now and will continue to do so because I am convinced there is no other service or team of humans that could treat my dog better.

I first was introduced to Omar and Doza’s Dogs through a mutual friend and had the dog I was fostering attend the day care. I believe this was all the way back in 2017 and I have stuck with them since because of how amazing they are 😊 From the very beginning I loved the fact that they would pick up and drop off the pups - I don’t know of any other place that offers this. Super convenient!

In 2019 I rescued my own pup (Mocha) and have been having her attend daycare twice a week and she’s also boarded with Doza’s Dogs as well. They are always super communicative, friendly and always punctual! It’s clear they care for the pups and I know Mocha loves them too because she is always wagging her tail and so excited to get picked up for the day.

Their care goes above and beyond: on hot summer days they get the hose out for the pups and for her birthday they made a whole video! One time Omar and team noticed something wrong with Mocha - they alerted me, letting me know Mocha was not acting her usual self. I ended up taking her to the vet as a result where she was diagnosed with a UTI and then quickly on the mend.

All in all, I would highly recommend Doza’s Dogs to anyone! Unless I ever move out of the area, I don’t see Mocha or I ever moving away from them…and would wish I could take...

We have been sending our very high energy dog to Doza's almost every weekday for 6 months now and we couldn't be happier. I was initially worried that Maple would be a bad candidate for dog daycare because she was extremely fearful of other dogs but Omar came out and did an assessment and said he was confident he could make it work. Now she comes home every day happy and relaxed which of course makes me very happy and relaxed. Some things I especially like about Doza's: Extremely reliable. They have never had to cancel on me even once. A good price for both the daycare service and boarding Generous with the photos - I love that I can see Maple on insta almost every day and especially in the beginning when I was worried about how she was doing Omar was generous with sending photos directly to me to show she was well Excellent communication daily over text about pickup and drop-off times and when we've changed things up about how we want them to do pick-up or drop-off they've been very flexible. Excellent availability - I've never needed them and had them be unavailable. They've done good work with Maple getting her used to other dogs and now when we meet other dogs on walks, Maple is never the badly behaved...
