This is a comment I made three years ago during COVID. The IKEA restaurant never responded and they deleted my comment without letting me know. This rating is for the IKEA cafeteria only!
They have a nice set up in the cafeteria following the social distancing guidelines and all. I know they are understaffed right now, BUT their staff need some more training.
When I was ordering food today, the guy at the serving line kept cutting in my sentences and complained that he could not hear me. At last, he shouted,” Ma’m, I don’t understand a thing you said!” What the H?! Of course you didn’t understand a thing! You did not listen to me at all! Just because I’m not white, it doesn’t mean I cannot speak proper English. The people in front of me with stronger accents seemed to get their food alright. I honestly don’t know what went wrong. Later, he claimed that the microphone for the customers wasn’t working. I had to shout to him towards the end of the conversation fearing he could not hear me or take my order.
To IKEA cafeteria team: if the microphone is not working, FIX IT; if the items on the menu are clearly no longer available (items including fountain drinks, etc.), TAKE IT OFF from the menu; If the staff could “not” understand English, they should have some trainings if they are...
Read moreThe IKEA Restaurant delivers more than you’d expect from a casual cafeteria inside a furniture store. The Swedish meatballs with lingonberry sauce are a staple, and there’s a surprising range of options including salmon fillets, veggie balls, and seasonal soups. The food is well-portioned, consistently warm, and quick to grab during a mid-shopping pause. It's the kind of comfort food that feels familiar and satisfying—especially when paired with their signature elderflower drinks or almond cake for dessert.
The seating area is bright, family-friendly, and offers ample space to relax. Kids’ meals are affordable, and seniors or students can often snag discounts depending on location. While the menu won’t win culinary awards, the value, consistency, and convenience make it a popular stop for regular IKEA-goers. Bonus points for occasional seasonal specials that break up...
Read moreI’ve seen couple of ads on instagram about IKEA breakfasts and wanted to try it for a while. It worth to try, but definitely not worth to make plans for it lol
The prices are reasonable. The breakfast special is scrambled eggs, diner style home fries, and some bacon for $3.99! I didn’t really like the scrambled eggs, it was too bland. I mean the expectation should be low 😬 The cake tho! Yum! So good. I can have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are no veggie meatballs served during the breakfast, just beef and sausage. The meatballs were good, and the side mashed potato was really good. Not the biggest fan of the cranberry jam. Definitely try the garlic bread. You get free coffee with IKEA family card! Overall you cannot go wrong with spending some...
