We adopted a dog from this place September 2023 after seeing their post from them in August on Facebook. At the time we were told the dog was 8 months old and good with kids. I have documentation from a Vet they got her from in Arkansas saying her birthday is 12/11/22, so the age seemed legit.

Whether that’s an estimated birthday or not, they should probably continue to use the same date. Currently, their website says the dog was born in May 2023 which is false. They just made a post just last week saying the dog is 10 months old…. But when we adopted her in September of 2023 she was 8 months old.

When returned in January 2023, they were beyond rude and told us we should have done our research on the breed prior to adoption.

About a week after her being returned, they made a dumb post on Facebook about how they were sure we returned her because she was part pitbull after we did a DNA test on her. That was not the case at all actually, we returned her for safety concerns. Our kids were beyond terrified of her because she was biting them every single time they made a movement….She was biting Josh & I as well…. And we told them that.

We put her through training with no improvement. They also said in that post that all of her behaviors she was having were no longer! So wild her behaviors disappeared in just 1 week! 🤔

After we told them that this dog should not be in a home with children multiple times, the same post I referred to above said she was “child friendly.”

On 2/27 they made a post about how the dog graduated obedience class to figure out “the best fit for her” and sure enough, what do ya know. She’s “child free by choice.”

In a post on Facebook early last week, it says “No kids under 10.” Before handing the dogs out to people, they should really figure out the best needs for the dogs prior to adoption.

The wonderful team of this organization helped me adopt my Hazel. She has an important member of my family and I can't imagine life without her! They rescued Hazel from Chicago and her connection with Pupperton was undeniable. I am so glad that they conduct home visits and allow the dogs to meet, it was my biggest fear that I would get a second dog and they wouldn't get along.
