Moldly spot on sandwich meat just purchased with an expiration date 7 weeks in the future. And no refund without a receipt which you have to ask for. Buyer beware
Sept update review. Once again I urge everybody to avoid buying meat or seafood at this store. The steaks are consistently nice to look at but inedible. I bought a bag of their high quality shrimp, Neptune brand tail off, and they were also inedible, chewy dry and like eating cardboard. I had to throw the bag away, I'm so disappointed.
Overall this store is on par with other similar grocery Outlets that sell food at a discount. What sets this place apart is the varied but inconsistent selection of items for sale. I understand they buy items at a discount when they can in share the savings with their shoppers. One must watch for the expiration date however and some of the bulk items like paper goods maybe off-brand. But they have a large selection of goods for patio, pets, even housewares. And some interesting cuts of meat and fish at a decent price. But, their steaks are consistently tough and nearly inedible. I stopped buying them. If they happen to have salsa its the hot as blazes habanero variety that nobody can eat. They also sell wine and beer but their wine selection is eclectic at best, I seldom recognized a familiar brand or Winery. Overall it's a good place to go once in awhile to very the shopping experience. Overall good for cost savings and interesting and varied selection of items.
Once again I let my guard down and bought a couple of nice looking steaks. BIG misteak! Chewy, tough , inedible, looked nice enough but once you try to cut it up you realize the error of your ways. Never again!
Can't say never. Bought a steak tonight that looked pretty good. But looks are deceiving. Going to cook it up and give it a go Hopefully it will be edible.
Nope and hope. Inedible leather once again. When will I learn? At least most of their products are decent. Cheap men's shampoo....
Read moreThis is a business I frequently visit at least once a week since 2020 and I enjoy most of the staff's attitudes but for the past few times I've gone and had a specific cashier during checkout, that positive vibe I share with other cashiers is diminished instantly. The name on the receipt says Tyler and aside from everyone else, he doesn't really greet or have a positive energy when customers are paying for their items to leave. This evening was no different except something happened when I tried paying for my 2 items. Usually I use my card to pay but this time I decided to use cash since I had some on me (and because I had 2 items). Once I handed him a $20 he seemed distraught, probably because he had to do extra work to provide my change. Once he had the change ready for me, I held my hand out like any normal person, ready to accept the dollars and change. The way he handed me the change was not proper and it was almost as if he was throwing it into my hand because a dime bounced out of my hand upon impact. Usually clerks say "sorry about that" or express some sort of fault but he did not. The entire exchange was awkward and I left feeling really disappointed in how it was handled, especially since I enjoy going there for any quick items I need. I definitely will be watching out for this person in the future and might have to consider if I want another dull...
Read moreI’m walking distance from GO, so it’s my go to store for most things, mostly because I’m too lazy to drive, plus exercise. I am an occasional shopper at Whole Foods, Gelsons, Erewhon, Co-Opportunity..and Grocery has the best deals hands down. It’s hit or miss though, just like at Costco - when you see something you like you have to grab it. You can’t wait until next time because it’ll be gone! You’re laughing, but you know what I’m talking about. If you are into gardening..they got you. Organic, vegan, gluten-free, grass-fed, fresh caught, probiotics.. they have all of it. They have a really good pet section. Employees are around and service is good. They have a pretty good wine section and sometimes they have someone go can really help you out with the selection. When you’re done, walk into Why Thirsty for a tea beverage, then the smoke shop for some Vibes cones, and Bhanu Indian cuisine for some veggie samosas. All in the same shopping center. (There’s also a wing stop, but support your small...
