Bodacious — Local services in Easton

I went to Bodacious to get my hair dyed ombre blue and left with blue & green hair that was severely damaged with chunks breaking off. The stylist, Anthony, used 40 volume to lift my natural brown & twisted the ends together, then left for about 15-20min to go in the break room on his phone (he friended me on FB while back there). My back started feeling very hot after about 20min, so I asked the owner, who was standing nearby, if something was wrong & she said "oh you're done...Anthony!" He came back and started to separate the hair he twisted together and it was steaming, so hot that it burned his fingers! Pieces started breaking off and he put me under the dryer, which only made my hair feel very crunchy. They tried to tell me that I must have minerals in my hair, but my hair had no product on it or dye, it was virgin hair. He brushed it so hard that a lot of hair broke off and he said he would fix it. He gave me a conditioning treatment, which seemed to help. He also applied a lot of product that made it seem to be fixed, so I paid. They did try to charge me for the treatment he did to fix the damage, but I refused to pay for that portion. I wasn't happy with the green that he decided to put in against my wishes, but at least my hair looked like he fixed the damage.

After washing a day or two later, I realized how awful it was. A lot more hair broke off and I couldn't even get a brush through it, still can't. I called the salon and spoke with the owner, Val, several times, but she refused to refund me. She did offer me weekly conditioning treatments and a recolor, but I do not have time to drive to Easton every week. I'm very disappointed with the whole experience and as nice as Val is, she should have refunded my money. Anthony is very talented from what I've seen, but he messed up. He left me for 15-20min while on Facebook and decided green would look better than what I asked for. He is also extremely rough with hair, which I don't think is necessary, especially when you're dealing with fragile, damaged hair. I would recommend avoiding Bodacious...

All I can say is outstanding experience. Bodacious is an exceptional salon for both Adults and Kids! My 2 young daughters both had a splendid time getting their hair done here. From the moment my family walked in we were treated with compassionate attention, warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Val listened attentively to our preferences and offered helpful suggestions. I was delighted to feel understood on our request for the children to receive natural hair care.

My girls were quite nervous as it was their first time getting their hair professionally done. Remarkable patience and skill was demonstrated while attending to my children's hair. Ensuring that all applications and every snip was executed with precision. My children, who can sometimes be fidgety during brushing, styling & haircuts remained calm and content throughout the entire process, thanks to the gentle approach and engaging demeanor.

Moreover, the ambiance of the salon was inviting, beautiful and comfortable. The cleanliness and hygiene standards were impeccable, which is always reassuring, especially during these times.

But what truly sets Bodacious apart is their unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. They went above and beyond to help us out that day. Not only did they deliver fantastic service, but they also ensured that we left feeling genuinely cared for. The attention to detail and personalized service truly made us feel valued as customers.

Went here yesterday because I am trying to grow out an undercut and it was getting to that length that starts to feel in the way, I made an appt with Val and when I sat down she asked me what I was interested in for a cut and I had to literally say i don’t know lol. I explained the situation and then tried to show pictures of what I was thinking but I was explaining it the wrong way but thanks to Val and her expertise she told me what would look good and what wouldn’t and when she was explaining what she thought we should do it was exactly what I wanted but couldn’t say. I loved my haircut and she showed it to me curly by working with my natural curl pattern while cutting it and then she styled it straight which is what I prefer during this time of year since it last me a while. I have never had my hair this pin straight or look this thin and I say that in a good way because the bob was bobbin lol everyone loved it they couldn’t stop raving and even saying they have to go in and get a cut or style from her. I’ve been getting my hair cut short for about 3-4 years now and even though I have liked those styles I feel like the bob Val gave me yesterday was what I was trying to get to this whole time I was literally telling people yep never gonna grow my hair out this is the one this is the cut for me.
