Anthropologie Weddings — Local services in Easttown Township

I can truly go on and on about what an incredibly wonderful experience I had with BHLDN to find my dream dress. As soon as I arrived to my appointment I was greeted and taken to my dressing area with the rest of my guests where my stylist Gretchen was waiting for us with a handful of dresses I had pre-selected. Gretchen was absolutely WONDERFUL and made me feel so confident and relaxed the entire time. She had my guests and I walk around and pick any additional dresses that caught my eye and made the whole experience fun and exciting, like it should be. She helped me in and out of dresses that complimented my figure and truly understood my style and what I had envisioned. There really was not one dress that I tried on that didn’t make me feel beautiful. The dress I ended up falling head over heels for was something I didn’t even imagine myself loving as much as I did, and had a neckline I never thought I could pull off. That just goes to show how much Gretchen knew her stuff and made me see myself in a way I never have before. You could truly tell she loves what she does and that really meant the world to me. I will absolutely be returning to BHLDN with my bridesmaids for their dresses and can’t wait for them to experience Gretchen for themselves!

This review wouldn’t be complete without my compliments to how beautiful the bridal salon is in itself (as well as the rest of Anthropologie!). The dressing rooms are divided in a way that everyone has their own area and it does not feel like you are on display to the rest of the store. It has every charming and whimsical touch of Anthropologie and a gorgeous display of head pieces, veils, jewelry, and shoes to help bring your vision together. I walked into BHLDN in Devon, PA as my very first wedding dress shopping experience, I had been referred by my fiancé's sister who had used a BHLDN in Philly for her bridesmaid dresses. When we arrived we were blown away by how gorgeous the store was - everything seemed clean and was decorated beautifully. We were greeted with a smile and started to look around - I was feeling excited!

Unfortunately, it was all downhill from here. Our appointment began by the woman telling me we had "a lot to do in a little time" and seemed rushed - I was confused because the entire point of an appointment is that you have time set aside to look at dresses. The frustration continued when I realized that all the paperwork/inquiry answers I took the time to fill out hadn't been looked at whatsoever - she had no idea what I wanted or was looking for. When I expressed that I was looking for a dress with sleeves - I was told "people my age" (25) don't ever like that style. I was told multiple times that "I won't like that" when saying what I was looking for. I had brought my own shoes (which the site said was ok to do) and was told that its "easier and faster just to use theirs" I was even told at one point that I was "not very good at trying on dresses" when I had trouble finding the floor after getting into one.

I ended up finding a beautiful two-piece set that had long sleeves and was absolutely gorgeous - I was in such a bad mood at that point that I couldn't even enjoy it and walked away empty handed. If you want a beautiful dress off the racks at a good price - this might be the place for you. But if you're looking for patience, kindness, and an experience that will make you feel beautiful and special, you might want to stick with somewhere else. Overall...

I went to BHLDN Devon to shop for bridesmaids dresses after seeing such a great selection online. I fell in love with the velvet dresses, and so did my bridesmaids. I had to scatter a couple appointments to accommodate bridesmaids' schedules, but everyone at BHLDN was very helpful and thorough making the fittings extremely easy! Prior to my appointments I was a bit stressed about the whole thing, but after everyone was fitted I was so happy the process was so easy! Until.......

I brought cash with me to pay a certain amount towards each bridesmaids dress. The BHLDN store does not work with cash. I gave the money (that I had counted multiple times) to an attendant to process the cash into individual gift cards. The cash passed through the hands of multiple people, and then I was told I was $100 short. My concerns were expressed to the manager while trying not to accuse anyone of anything (talk about an awkward situation). Thankfully, the manager was able to give me the full amount in gift cards.

I could easily turn this review into a novel but long story short: The in-store attendants and customer service ARE NOT on the same page. Every single time I have called about something, customer service tells me something contradicting to what the store attendants tell me. Some other issues I dealt with: My email address was incorrect on multiple orders and one of the dress sizes on the orders was incorrect.

I am very thankful I am doing this well in advance of my wedding to have time to work through all of these discrepancies. Hopefully this is not the norm and other brides have a better experience.
