If you’re looking for an elegant event in a rustic setting, The Atrium @Terrain in Devon, PA is the place to go (@terrain_devonyard / @terrain_events). I hosted a bridal shower here in June 2025, in the evening. The staff is superb. Food + drink fabulous. Honestly, I would have every event for my family here. You really don’t even need to decorate. There’s plenty of room to move about and mingle. I am still receiving rave reviews from my guests for the shower.

Emily, my 1st contact, quickly gave me all the details for The Atrium – it is dedicated to smaller affairs and booking is available all year. She set us up with Allison for a tour. Beautiful dining area, plenty of area to mingle, gorgeous outdoor bar / cocktail area.

I had seen a beautiful flower cart (with a chandelier) reminiscent of the flower carts in Paris at The Atrium. Allison referred me to Brenda Stewart of Proparazzi Photobooths (@proparazzi_photobooths), a preferred vendor. Thru Brenda, we booked the flower cart, a gorgeous flower wall with props + custom signs, and a beautiful balloon arrangement made by Briana (@brianarene_luxevents) (separate review on them – they were fabulous). The flower cart served as a flower bar, w/ flowers supplied by our favorite local flower farmer Dawn Zimmerman (@ethyls_backyard). Guests selected flowers + bouquets were made by Vanessa Gagliotti (@cethosiafloral). They also did the florals for the tables.

We added pillar candles + gauze table runners to the tables but added décor is optional. It is elegant with no added décor. The Atrium has plenty of votive candles to add to every table.

The food + drinks were perfection. Our signature cocktail was the strawberry rose mojito. It was divine – guests loved it. We had a superb bartender. Aside from the delightful signature cocktail, she made one of the best Old Fashioneds I’ve ever had.

For the cocktail hour, we did passed hors d’oeuvres – lobster rolls, lollipop lamb chops, + Boursin cheese gougères. All delicious. Highly recommend the mixed lettuce salad w/ watermelon, hazelnut, chevre, + a tasty red wine/shallot vinaigrette. The signature flowerpot bread is always a favorite. For dinner, we chose the free-range chicken, mushroom risotto, + the always superb halibut almondine Desserts were fabulous, all made in house, a selection of honey tartlet, caramel dipped creampuff, brown butter cupcake, cookie truffle, + macarons – plus the Terrain black lava sea salt signature cookie. Service was excellent throughout the entire event.

We did custom cookies by Emily Retamozo (@emily-retamozo) as a shower favor. Her cookies are gorgeous + taste good. We give her details about the honorees and she whips up the most beautiful designs specific to the event.

There was some rain on the day of the event – but no problem. The dining area is fully enclosed. The bar area is outside but protected by foliage. The staff + preferred vendors know exactly how to set up in the case of rain.

Huge thank you to Paige, my event coordinator, for shepherding me through the process and always being quick to answer my emails. So important! On the day of the event, Bridget was our event concierge. Many thanks to Bridget for helping me run the event, making helpful suggestions, keeping us on track, + being able to adjust when I changed the flow of the event. We never felt rushed. It was perfection. Photos courtesy of the engaged couple’s friend Alex Dale (Photo cred -...

We were married at St. David’s in Wayne and held our reception at The Atrium at Terrain Gardens and it was PERFECT! Our guest count ended up being just under 40 people, and I knew I didn’t want a regular, large capacity venue because I wanted our reception to feel like an intimate dinner party for our closest friends and families. The Attium provided the perfect option for us. It was a small enough space to keep it feeling intimate, but not too cramped while even having a full room for dancing, and access to the gardens turned out to be a fun bonus for guests I hadn’t thought of beforehand! I liked having all of our activities like cocktail hour, cake cutting, bar, dinner & dancing all in close proximity so guests could freely move throughout the space while again feeling still like an intimate gathering.

The space itself is SO beautiful! Looking at our sneak peek preview photos, it is clear to tell we did not need much decor because the rustic and romantic charm of The Atrium was plenty beautiful. The bare wood tables don’t need elaborate table cloths, and the venue was even kind enough to provide LED candles, a card box, and a few other items. Of course delicious catering was in house. All of this made it so effortless for us, we didn’t have to stress about rentals, catering, and extras as so many things were built in. The planning process was well organized as well. I had a friend act as a day of coordinator on my end, and the hour of setup time for her before the event started worked perfectly.

Day of, The staff was SO nice and professional. Everyone literally glowed about how much they love their job from the coordinators to the bartender. This made us feel so special and cared for on our big day. We opted out of an open bar option and instead chose to provide 3 signature drinks. It was the perfect customized balance for us, as only some of our guests had a drink with dinner and it allowed us to be very selective and intentional with flavors we curated!

My family was so impressed and felt so spoiled by the gourmet appetizers, beautiful bar and spritzers, dinner, live guitarist, and dessert table.

If you are considering an intimate gathering around 50 people or a micro-small wedding like us, I recommend The Atrium wholeheartedly. As a wedding vendor, I go to many many venues. But the Atrium is...

I recently had a pre-wedding cocktail party at The Atrium at Terrain Gardens and it was absolutely wonderful! The food, drinks, space, and service were fantastic and we have received tons of compliments on the party. The team was easy to work with and always quick to respond and happy to answer any questions we had. The planning process was seamless and they had so many great food options to choose from. The space is beautiful and needed little decoration to feel special. I would 100% recommend Terrain to anyone looking for a venue. We truly could not have had a...

I held a corporate brunch in The Atrium. It is beautiful space that barely needs any added décor. The staff made the planning process super easy and straightforward. The folks working on day-of were wonderful too! We set up a make your own floral bouquet bar for our guests to take home and it was a hit!
