Any attempt to call the store is immediately sent to the national hotline (even if you call the 951 area code number), and any attempts to find details on an order can not be found through the national hotline, causing any user that actually needs to talk to the store to enter an infinite loop.
Best buy is making it hard for me to spend money, which is already an insane sentence to write. My order has been delayed for a week and the national hotline cant confirm with me where this order is or if I should cancel it. As a long time customer of Best Buy and a long term reviewer, I recommend going elsewhere due to a lack of customer outreach.
In store service I have had a fine experience, nothing more nothing less, I don't expect stellar service from a brick and mortar store, but at least have a proper method to contact the store, to verify local data that a regional office cant figure out.
Updated (3/2/25) - The order arrived about 3 weeks late, the staff understood why I would be worried about a lack of feedback, after more than 3 days past its original delivery date. The staff were helpful in informing me the cut off date for the order to auto refund, and that the item was scheduled to arrive around the time of auto cancellation. They also gave me the information I was looking for on why the item was delayed and if there was an equivalent model on the sales floor. Was suppose to be delivered Dec 10th, got an email on the 9th that it was delayed to the 24th - but then got email on the 11th it was cancelled due to it no longer being available. Waited 2 weeks for a delay then another day for a cancel. Now not only are they out of stock but the ovens are no longer Black Friday prices. Called and spoke to a manager and there isn’t another exact comparable model so closed I can do was find something more expensive. After about 4 different attempts with agents on the customer service line over this whole process I got a call back from a manager at last while I was driving and they said they could offer a 100 bucks off a different oven. I said I’d call them back due to me being in LA traffic and they never answered me for three days after getting that managers direct number and leaving multiple voicemails. My attempts to call customer service were met with 2 different case numbers, endless explaining and a loss of the good sales of Black Friday. Worse experience ever and to think I bought all my appliances here for my house in 2018 brand new. I was coming back to them. Even visiting the store and speaking with managers they deflect and are like oh that’s online that’s different we can’t do anything. Can anyone pass the buck further?
