Edgewater Village Shopping Center — Local services in Edgewood

Very old shopping center. Needs an outdoor facelift. Sometimes uneasy feeling when shopping here because of the areas high crime rate and personal robberies that have happened on the sidewalk in front of the stores at the plaza. My brother was robbed for money and cellphone twice at this location but the surveillance cameras just so happened to not be working at the time of both robberies. Hopefully they've fixed this since then. Besides that the Family Dollar is good for a quick need. Dollar Tree is always good except for the crazy long line with 1 cashier most of the time. Save A Lot should consider expanding its products in this area since they took away the only full grocery store in this local area. Unless you want to drive over 5 or 6 miles to a grocery store, you now have to settle for this mostly generic store. *BRING YOUR OWN BAGS OR YOU MUST BUY THEM. BAG YOUR OWN GROCERIES HERE ALSO. The discount I received was awesome. The customer service was great and I saved $47. The double stuffed golden oreos were 98 cents. A 40 box of UTZ (cheese balls, cheese curls, white cheddar popcorn, and party mix) chips was just 4.99 a 24 count bag of sour patch kids was 99 cents. I will be returning here to get my snacks for sure.
