We’ve been loyal customers of this meat market for a while now. The food has always been great and the portions generous—until our most recent visit. We ordered the usual special: 2 lbs of fajitas and 1 lb of sausage, with rice, beans, and tortillas. Same price, but the order came in a much smaller to-go box instead of the usual large foil tray. I double-checked with the staff that the full 3 lbs of meat and sides were included—they confirmed it was.
At home, I weighed the meat: about 20 oz of fajitas and 12 oz of sausage—barely 2 lbs total, not 3 lbs. Even the sides were noticeably smaller. I called to ask about it and was told the 3 lbs refers to the pre-cooked weight. If that’s true, it should be made clear. When you’re buying cooked food and told you’re getting 3 lbs of meat, that’s what you expect—not nearly a pound less.
