Went to BearyBoba on April 13th around late afternoon time for a chocolate frappe; I only had one sip cause I was already feeling somewhat ill from earlier food I had but when I went to empty the contents on the sink (cause it had been 12 hours so i assumed it must be not good to drink anymore), i found small, sharp, plastic shards in my drink? I asked family that currently works in coffee places if this is normal but they said this is definitely plastic (it doesn't bend, it's not ice, its very hard to break, its big enough to definitely be dangerous to consume).
Not posting this to hate on BearyBoba; I've been a frequent visitor for a while now and enjoy the place a lot (the staff are always wonderful too!). I'm posting this so the business is aware that this happened and also cause a lot of younger people and kids and families go there so I'm worried any of them might've gotten shards too :'0 This is definitely not common, just an unfortunate experience (although also very thankful I did not drink most of it this particular time too).
EDIT: Went to the store and they were very nice and very understanding; they're looking into what it was but again, just wanted to raise awareness in case anyone that day had similar issues. This is very uncommon...
Read moreThis is the cutest boba shop I've ever seen ever! Absolutely beautiful clean and modern design with stationary and keychains for sale. The murals on the windows and designs on the drink cups are all tailored to be highly kawaii (cute in Japnese). They have stickers, shirts, bags, and notebooks for sale. I really wanted to buy a sticker but didn't get the chance.
For snacks they have little prepackaged Japanese sweets, cute Hello Kitty and Bear cookies, as well as adorable little macarons.
Stopped here on a Thursday night for dessert after dinner and played some Pokemon themed Uno with my group of 4. I ordered a Tiger Sugar Milk Tea with Brown Crystal Boba with Milk Foam. Soso delicious. I always add milk foam or cream to my drink to thicken it and make it creamier and more flavorful. My bf got the taro milk tea with regular tapioca and our friend got mango with lychee jelly.
At the end of the day they are often running out of toppings so if you want to ensure that you have all the options available come earlier than 9pm!
This spot is definitely worth a stop and I will be coming back often. Highly recommend to locals...
Read moreWhy are the girls here always in such a bad mood? I always go because even though the mood they are in sucks. The Strawberry Matcha is so worth the drive. But yesterday im already having to think this may be my last time. I spoke with the cashier for maybe about a minute on how if she could please this time make it with no ice. She suggested light ice and I asked her if she could just make it no ice and extra liquid (mind you this has been done before and they charge like 1.50 extra just to do it.) My drink is normally around 7 bucks. But after asking for that it turns to almost 10 after tax and everything. Last night she decided to keep telling me she could just make it with light ice. After I told her to please just make it with no ice she finally charged me 9.14 to be exact. Only for the damn thing to be given to me with literally extra ice. I took and video and photo for proof. The drinks are super good. Its just all the employees they have with such bad attitudes all the time that kill the vibe. Its been multiple times they always look so drained and...
