Just left the place and Pablo, the owner was very rude. This place charges to use a credit or debit card which is absurd because using this method of payment allows them to get more business and increases their sales. I paid $50 for a gel pedicure which the girl did a very nice job and I went to tip her $10 on my card so the total should have been $60 which is kinda high for a pedicure but then when I went to pay, now itās 62.50 which is more than I should pay for a pedicure plus tip and he charged me the surcharge (4%) on the actual tip. When I booked on the website it said nothing about cash is preferred or there will be a surcharge otherwise I would have brought cash or he should have a CashApp option. I will be contacting Visa and the state to investigate this as well because it might be a few dollars for me, but it adds up for each customer. This was my first and last time there. While the girl did a good job and took her time, I usually go to Bella salon in Perth Amboy who does a great job and is much more affordable, but since I recently moved this is closer. Btw this place is run down and the atmosphere has old pedicure chairs and the decor is very old and needs updating/renovations. The atmosphere doesnāt warrant their prices. There are many other places that one can go to for these prices. I hope he gives the worker her tip, but I doubt it, because he seems shady. I was having a nice relaxing time until it was time to check-out. There is an ATM there to get cash, but then you have to pay their $2 fee plus whatever your bank will charge. I will not be back. For $62.50 I could have got an hour long massage at a spa. Last thought, If you donāt speak Spanish it will be tough to communicate with the staff. Place has potential but too much competition in the area to pay this in a run down spot where the atmosphere is less than desirable. Their service/business fees are not the consumers issue so stop being cheap.
Update review based on owner response: Yes, she did a great job and glad Fernanda got her well deserved tip (assuming that is the truth), but I stand by my review. Also, I do speak a very decent amount of Spanish so I was able to communicate what I needed, however my assessment was regarding those that do not speak any Spanish.Iām due for my next pedicure/manicure and sadly I havenāt changed my mind about not going back. This place left a bad taste in my mouth. Every business that accepts credit/debit cards does so to increase their revenue and should not place the burden of your business costs onto the customer for paying with a common method of payment. Many ppl donāt carry cash and when I made the appt on your site it should have stated such. All good tho. Too many other places to patronize....

When Sunny was the owner she always provided me with great customer service. One time I had an experience where my nails did not come out good and Sunny completely redid my nails for me FREE OF CHARGE. That is good customer service!! She fixed her mistakes and made me a happy customer. Now, I had an appointment that I specifically asked for Rosemary to do my nails. When I came into the salon she put me with a young girl to do my nails and didnāt even say anything to apologize. The girl did an okay job. Some nails were lumpy, the nail polish was streaky and uneven, and my acrylics were chipping on 2 fingers after 2 DAYS. The rest of my nails continued chipping and lifting during that week. This never happened to me before. I called the salon and explained I was unhappy with the quality and the guy on the phone said I could come in for Rosemary to fix them. Again, when I walked into the salon Rosemary put me with the young girl even though I requested Rosemary herself to do my nails. After telling Rosemary this, she ended up doing my nails and fixing all of the horrible work from before. She said to me herself that many customers have come in the past 2 weeks complaining of their nails chipping, so I wasnāt the only one!! After she did my nails I went to pay and she said it was $60. A good salon owner would have at least offered me a 50% discount this time because they were fixing their own horrible work that they did previously. Why was she trying to charge me even more than I paid for the bad set ($55)?????? This is ridiculous. When this happened with Sunny, she redid them free of charge. Rosemary is a horrible salon owner with HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! If you provide bad service to the customer, you need to at least discount them next time to FIX YOUR MISTAKES!! The salon was literally empty which shows Rosemary is losing all the customers that used to come here because of her horrible customer service and it will only go downhill from here. I will be finding a new PROFESSIONAL salon to go to!
Update(in response to owners response): they didnāt break āfor many reasonsā they broke because the new girl who did my nails did a bad job which you are responsible for fixing for me. You even told me yourself that many customers have been coming in and complaining about the same thing, so itās a salon problem not a me problem! And if you ācan gladly fix them at no costā then you would have done so today when I came in to get it fixed. Customer service has become horrible and it shows as this place is empty as compared to when this place was run by Sonny. Clearly shows that she is losing Customers and I am one of them who will not be going back to this place again. I have been going to this place over 8 years now. They have new girls not trained doing nails and the quality has gone down drastically. Rosemary doesn't seem to care too much, she has her set of customers that she helps everytime I call to make an appointment doesn't matter if it's 2 weeks or 3 weeks out Rosemary is always busy and then put me with new girls. Also has happened that I requested to have my nails done with a girls the guy on the phone does say ok and the day of appointment they someone different doing my nails. When I questioned they oh sorry we messed up. This has happened 3 times already. I get gel manicure and the girls doing the nails are not fully trained feels like an experiment on the clients. This time my nails were all different length, shape was all over and uneven. 3 of my nails chipped and cracked with in a week of doing them so I went back to them Rosemary told the girl to just apply the nail glue and did a quick fix... which didn't last 2 of my nIls are broken now. This used to rarely happen in the past but if that did happen then Sonny would take her time and fix the nails the right way and no quick fix. Now 2 out of those 3 nails are broken. I am sorry we pay enough to be provided with this kind or poor quality service. Also the points card not sure if they add the points to it anymore or not as I have not redeemed my points card and when previous owner was there she told me I have enough points to get free Pedicure.($30.00) This time I told the guy I don't have enough when questioned he was like I don't know you can go and ask the pervious owner I can't tell you why and this is what you have. So very rude. So be careful with that membership/points card. I definitely miss Sonny and not going back to this...
