Edit: I want to be honest that since posting I was contacted by Jerry, the store manager who was very polite and listened to the issues I had faced. Because of that I want to update my review at least some and will re visit it upon giving the store another shot
Love harbor freight and recently bought a 2 year club membership as I have been really enjoying the store and the employees. However recently after waiting 6 weeks for a store pre sale I was informed when I called to ask about the status that due to a mistake it was never ordered and that it would be another 4-6 weeks before I would get it.
I understand mistakes happen, but there was no attempt at an apology over the phone or even them offering to just refund me the money directly until I asked if I could just get the money back.
Since it was debit I would have to drive to the store. Even then I was considering waiting and called back to see if maybe they could get an available unit from a different store for me just to see if it was possible. When the phone was answered I gave them my name and told them how I had just called about a refund and before I could ask my question I said I had the worker put me on hold. And then after they took me off hold procceed to tell me stuff I had just heard a moment ago from the first call before I could finally ask my question (which answer was no, they cannot do company transfer, that's ok I just wanted to ask)
Even through all that I hoped when I went in person they might give me a actual apology for the mistake and we can make this work. Instead I got Tom the supervisor. The cashier who called him was very polite and did try to help us out with getting the item we wanted but with it being pre sale I knew they had none for sale. Tom got us the refund and gave a sorry under his breath. I explained how I would be calling corporate for a complaint due to the second person who answered who was rude (who I honestly suspect might of been him but 🤷🏻♂️) because I don't believe in blind siding someone doing their job but their is only so much disrespect I could take when I can't even get a fake sorry about a someone being rude.

But if you are looking for a lasting product, with a lifetime warranty, you won't find that here. The trade off in low price means a trade off for tools that function well enough, but any hard use will see them deteriorate quickly over time. Reason for 4 stars is there discount/ coupon system has become very confusing. They used to send mailers which they do not anymore yet they send emails I believe for those coupons now. Also they advertise pricing in store that reflects they're paid member service that isn't explained nor posted.
