HORRIBLE LIVE CRAB! Thought we'd have something special for Father's Day. Bought 2 of the biggest Dungeness Crabs they had at noon on Thursday. They offered to steam for me and I said yes. The price was $48.00 for 2 crabs. When I got home I proceeded to tear off the back shells, get rid of the gills and wash them. The meat appeared to be a little translucent, but it didn't matter because I was going to serve them steamed and hot today. Friday night I pulled them out of the fridge to change the paper towel in the bottom of the Tupperware and it was black. One of the crabs had literally turned black throughout the body meat area and the joints on the legs were also black. Yesterday I checked on them and now the second crab had started turning black. Omg... see the pictures I just took after picking the crab! Do your self a favor and don't have them cook for you! Turning black was caused by either undercooking them, or not at a high enough temperature. So much money down the drain, and so much wasted time! The meat is fine, but who wants to eat black crab meat?? I'm not new to crab either, I've been catching it, cooking it and cleaning it for over 50 years. I love crab, but not black crab!!

Inexcusably terrible customer service! I come here frequently and wanted to order some prepared foods at the deli counter. There were several customers waiting who appeared to have already ordered standing around randomly. It was not clear where to order, and two female workers I approached pointed me to different areas to place my order at. Initially I was not being acknowledged at all besides being pointed to a register area by the first female worker, then after going to that register a second female worker pointed me back the other direction and to line up near the first woman and an older male worker cutting roast duck behind the counter. As there were no written directions on how to order or where to stand, I just followed the second female workers' directions (which was her lazily pointing in a general direction and refusing to answer my question in words) and I waited near the older man and making sure I wasn't cutting in front of anyone. After waiting about 10 minutes patiently, it seemed like it was my turn to order when the older man cutting duck suddenly pointed at me with his knife and I started giving him my order, but the man instantly got angry and started to yell and scream at me aggressively in Chinese. Not only could I not understand him and I also tried to communicate by pointing to the menu boards, he just kept yelling at me and waved his knife at me threateningly. Even if I spoke his language, I would never dream of being threatened that way and humiliated publicly for trying to abide by their directions. I just walked away as it was not worth arguing (he couldn't understand me anyways), but I was appalled by the sheer rudeness and disrespect displayed by this old man and neither of the two female workers standing nearby whom had directed me earlier even try to come to my defense or calm the man down. They just stood their watching as this old man yelled at me for no reason, quite pathetic and disgusting. This place does not care about the very basic levels of customer care or require bare minimum communication standards for non-Chinese customers. The lack of customer care they exhibit reflects on the overall business practices here and I would suggest people shop elsewhere like H Mart or Uwajimaya rather than this sorry excuse for an...

This store could really use some updates on employee management. One time I was there trying to get some short ribs for bbq. Turned out that they were on sale, several employees were already there in front of the meat section, picking and getting a few boxes for each one of them. By the time they were done, all the short ribs were gone too… Another time turned out a fancy pineapple cake was on special. A staff brought them out to the shelf. At least six employees followed closely and grabbed so many boxes right at once. At the mean while, the cashiers asked those grabbers to grab some on their behalf as well. It was such an chaotic scene.

I have never witnessed employees grabbing merchandises off the shelves like customers at the other grocers. It felt so unprofessional. The store special was supposed to be a way to attract customers. Not sure if the management were aware of this practice but it seemed like a part of the toxic culture of this store. This place does offer some good discounts on certain goods; the bakery and the Chinese BBQ items were very tasty as well. However most of the employees were unfriendly; and most of the goods were much more expensive than the other nearby Asian markets. I compared things such as sesame oils and this place could see couple to a few dollars more than the other stores’ same, regular...
