Since I was a child I had one Dr, as my primary. It did not matter how often you attended his clinic. However one day I needed to be seen but found that my Dr had passed away. Sad because he was a great one! We all know how hard it is to find a great trustworthy Dr. Its almost impossible these days. So about 20 plus years ago today I was on that search for that perfect Dr. Well it took me 7 years and I had thought I found that perfect Dr. This was Dr Genevieve Hann. She delivered my baby girl in 2014. She was now our family Dr. At Edmonds birth and family clinic. She is awesome!
However what is not Awesome is that we are now being punished for being healthy people. Because we are doing well by GOD's design we do not feel the need to waste our great Drs time when so many may be sick.
I called to speak to my Dr about my daughter and she will not take our call.
Why you may ask?
Because we are now supposedly new patients because we were healthy enough tonot waste her time so others may be seen whom may need help more than we would.
We as patients should not be penalized for being healthy. It should not matter how much or how little you see your primary physician. When you picka family physician it is for the long term because you want someone who knows all about your family history... this is not something to take lightly. As a family physician you are stuck with my family and I until we may not need you or move out of state.
I thought I found the perfect Dr for my family after 7 years of searching. However found out the hard way that the Dr's of Edmonds Birth and Family clinic truly do not care about you and your children. We were just a number to them, and because we did not spend money seeing them every year because GOD has kept us healthy.... they have dropped us like a bad habbit!
I honestly cannot believe how selfish they are in this matter.
So I do tell you if you are looking for a true caring family dr this is not the place if you are healthy people. Look for a True Dr that will be by your side through thick and thin whether you visit them regularly or irregularly.
I wish you all the best in your search it will now take me another 7 years to hopefully find that true, trustworthy, caring Dr.
Thanks Edmonds Birth amd Family clinic for showing us what truly matters to you. Our money instead of being happy that you have healthy patients.
GOD Bless all who may be...
Read moreAfter 25 years at this clinic, they have now switched to physician care teams, meaning you often don't get a live person or you get a busy signal and ate ayvtge mercy of whenever they get around to calling you back. The message says they will call back within two hours but my last three times of scheduling, it was several hours before my call was returned and no appointments left. We have been willing to see any of their many doctors but often can't get in for a couple of days. Part of the reason we chose this clinic was that they had so many doctors you could see.
When your child has a very sore throat and can't swallow, waiting two days isn't an option. Three times I've not gotten a live person and after several hours of waiting, they call to say there are no appointments left that day or the next but instead have suggested the walk-in clinic down the street. So I took a late evening appt with the on-call doctor the next night and they ended up cancelling our appt and the next day no one followed up with us so I had to start the process all over again-leaving a voicemail, waiting several hours, no appts available. We gave up.
Today I called my doctor's care team first thing and got their voicemail and finally called three hours later and dialed zero for the front desk, refusing to leave another voicemail. They scheduled me that day after who knows how many other appointments had been scheduled over the elapsed three hours. The care team called me back 5 1/2 hours after I originally called and told me there were no appointments left. If I had waited for them as asked, my daughter would not have been seen today. The new care team system is not working and has left these three long-term patients ready to...
Read moreDr. Emily Peterson is the smartest, sweetest, most amazing doctor I have ever had. She's the primary care physician for my entire family. She always remembers us and is so good with my kids. I met her when I was looking for a new OB/GYN during my second pregnancy. She has never treated me as less intelligent or disregarded me knowing my body.
I have seen several of the other doctors there as well due to scheduling and life, and they're all pretty awesome. But no one will ever compare to Dr. Peterson.
When my second ultrasound came back with a possible IUGR diagnosis, Dr. Peterson came out of an appointment to take my return call and tell me personally. She was so reassuring and compassionate. She has a heart of gold.
Beware of the nurses, though. Half of them are sweet and funny, some of them have little personality, and one of them enjoys hurting your feelings. I don't know her name, but she went out of her way to make me feel awful when I brought my baby in for a weight check. He had gained weight and I told her I was planning on pumping for him. She informed me that method fails 98% of the time and by the way, my son needed to get his bilirubin levels checked. It was August and I had driven 30 miles with a newborn, by myself. And she threatened to call CPS if I didn't take him for a (surprise!) totally pointless test. She didn't stop yelling at me til I started crying.
But the...
