This BEAUTIFUL place has A LOT of potentials! BUT they need a NEW administration. We went for Sunday brunch, and the restaurant looked to be ready for everything but guests! After we sat, no one came to greet us, offer us a drink, or anything! After a while, we were handed the menu and told that if we wanted something quick there was the buffet... to go and serve ourselves... the guy (owner or manager, not sure who is he) was a little rude or at least does not has any hospitality background.

Long story short, we ordered our brunch (nothing too elaborated), and it took almost an hour to be served. Two of our plates were the traditional breakfast from the menu (toast, eggs, and bacon) We ordered from the menu because we did not want the bacon and stiff bread from the buffet... well, just the egg (one egg) came from the kitchen and after a couple of minutes our server brought us the toast (1) and the bacon from the buffet... really?! why we ordered from the menu, it took 1-hour to arrive and the food was all the time in front of us!!!

During our time there we saw a lot of whispering between the owner/manager and his employees... all the time it looked like they were trying to put fires down... several tables waiting for a long time for their food... people walking to the bar to grab their drink themselves... oh and because this is a venue that host private events, the restrooms and the ballroom were a mess...

We are not picky customers, but when you don't have the communication from the manager or server about the service or your food situation, that is very disappointing.

A little hospitality/customer service training for staff and managers won't hurt! Speed up kitchen process and the cleanness and organization from the previous event... or just...

  1. View of the water and ambiance are outstanding
  2. Food and drink are excellent quality and attractively presented
  3. Waitstaff are excellent, and, unlike previous reviews, they had more than enough staff on our visit (and the staff wear masks! Yay!)
  4. Outdoor, elegant dining is tough to come by in the Seabrook/Clear Lake area. The fire pits here mean you can dine outside even on a cold night.

We came here for a magical evening for my mother’s 80th birthday, and The Bay Patio was amazing. I had the hamburger. It was one of the better burgers I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I’m from the outstanding restaurant city of Philadelphia, so that’s saying something. Other dishes in our party were the spaghetti and garlic bread, also very good. I also had a very tasty and pretty pineapple mojito.

The Bay Patio only exists as a restaurant open to the general public when The Water’s Edge, where it’s located, isn’t hosting a wedding.

One other thing to note: the fire pits are near the bar. There’s a large fire pit on the stairs into the dining area, but it’s a bit too far from all but a couple tables to provide much warmth to...

We went here for the Valentine’s Day “experience” and boy was it an experience! We came in to rushed wait staff, arguments between the staff, and angry customers walking around the waiting area trying to find a manager to talk to. Pretty cheap set up for something we had to pay up front so we were totally misled by the pictures. We tried to get out of the reservation before we sat down after watching the circus of chaos for 30 minutes but were basically begged to stay because they weren’t sure if they could even refund us. The food was cold and tasted like it had been out for a while. You could tell everything was frozen before it had been cooked (I got the steak and it was gray and the size of a mozzarella stick from sonic). We also were sat directly next to the entrance so we had a front row seat to the continued chaos and watched the hostesses yell at each other in confusion for the entire meal. It was so disorganized it was almost funny and we ended the night in a Burger King...

Overall 2/5: I think this place should just stick to being a wedding venue. The food was okay, as was service. Drinks 3/5: Very yummy. They fit the vibe of the place. Loved the drinks. Food 2/5: Everything was super salty. We also found hair in at least two of our dishes. We had the scallops and shrimp which was again, too salty. The only thing really good was the shrimp cocktail which is kind of hard to mess up. My dish was the one with hair as was my friend's salad. Service 3/5: Service was okay, kind of slow. Of course a 3/5 because they were super quick to replace our food with hair in it. Lowkey kind of unfriendly and judgey vibes from the staff. Vibe 4/5: Really nice inside. Clean big bathrooms (because it's mostly used for wedding venues). It's right by the water so that's really nice. Although I would not return.

Brunch at The Bay Patio was in one word…DIVINE. Beautiful outdoor waterfront dining along with live music, aqua table linen, sunshine & great food was the vibe! Shrimp and grits, avocado toast with smoked salmon along with a very dainty poinsettia cocktail followed by complimentary carafe of pineapple mimosas encouraged a much needed nap once I got home. All of my food was absolutely delicious. Both entrees were perfectly seasoned and presented beautifully; kudos to the Chef; job very well done! The manager Tia as well as waiter RJ were both very kind and attentive and the owner even came over to say hello. I could have stayed there all day…

Loved this, sort of hidden gem that’s open to the public now! Hubs and I were having date night and he asked if I wanted to try out a new place. I was hesitant b/c I was getting tired and chilly. I asked if it was inside or out, he said both. So glad I went with it and we have found a new place on the water. The manager Tia is so fun and kind, the staff is so sweet and respectful. The word is starting to get out so be patient as they grow and under new management.
