Dwell at Clear Lake Apartment Homes — Local services in El Lago

I have lived at the Dwell before, way back in 2016 when I first moved to Texas.... It was a very party party place to live.... A lot of noise, a lot of craziness, esp at pool. I have now returned in 2024 and been living here again for a year now and upon returning, not much had changed.... Still a lot of partying. New management has come in and I see that changes are trying to be made so that this community is a lil less rough around the edges. Idk and I don't really care.... I work a lot and keep to myself and that's the way I like it.... All I can say is that I love living here.... It's a beautiful location, right on lake.... Our new property manager, Natalie, is simply amazing (you can see how passionate she is about making improvements and helping the residents with any problems or concerns).... And management/corporate is trying to make the community a lil better and a lil less like a scene from National Lampoon's Animal House (aka a frat party). There have been new rules implemented that I know many don't agree with (hey I'll be the first to admit, I had a whole garden growing before Natalie came, and was about to start my second growing season) but that came to an end.... But bc I was growing an excessive amount and I see where my garden gained attention, bc it was excessive. Rules and regulations are in place for a reason and I exceeded those rules.... so to keep the upkeep and appearance of the community, my excessive garden is gone.... No problem. What I do have a problem with is that people wanna blame Natalie for some of the recent rule changes, for instance the pool hours..... At first it seemed odd, but then I thought about it.... Saturday 8/9/25 I came home on my lunch break to walk my dog and there was a MASSIVE pool party going on..... I saw numerous people parking across the street and walking over in bathing suits and coolers, going to the pool.... This was not a community/office sanctioned party. When I came home from work at 730pm the party was still going on with probably over 50 ppl in a small pool area.... It was excessive. To make matters worse, the party must have gained the attention of the local police, as an officer was parked near exit gate, and numerous cars were rapidly trying to exit through the entrance gate (I would imagine to avoid the police) however, these ppl compromised the safety of ppl trying to enter the community through the entrance gate, myself included, bc a silver SUV almost hit me trying to get out of community, trying to squeeze by me to get to gate before it closed. So, yes, it make stink for many ppl that pool rules have changed, but y'all who threw the party did it to yourselves and in return, hurt the benefit of pool privileges for the rest of the community. Y'all are to blame, not Natalie or any other members of the Dwell staff. Natalie has bosses too, and she must answer to them and do as they say.... After all, we all wanna keep our jobs, right? So attacking her is unfair and unjust, she's just doing her job..... Which I believe she is doing very well at. All in all, this is a great community and would recommend to anyone..... It's why I came back after almost 10 years of being away!!!! Sincerely, Justin Borek

Updated Review Ok, so I officially read the email that was sent to all the residents (bc all I heard was no pool after 530pm without justification)..... Ppl, the email explicitly says why pool hours have changed and the reasons why!!!! -underage drinking -fighting and disorderly conduct -jeopardizing the safety of other residents Come on, this isn't grade school.... Rules where broken to a maximum point and privileges were taken away..... This is basic parenting 101..... We all signed a lease saying we would abide by certain rules and regulations and these rules and regulations were not only broken but pushed way above the boundaries, mainly putting the safety of the community at jeopardy. It's a shame that a few ppl have to spoil it for everyone else. Blaming Dwell staff is a cop out for your own wrong...

Everyone is moving out! We will be soon! New management is horrible. These apartments were great before new management took over, constantly improving and making this feel like a community, even hosting community events. Now, maintenance is a joke, tap water is not safe. Boiler needs serious repairs and they shut off your water every other week. Power shuts off if the wind blows the wrong direction. Recreation areas are unkept, however constantly we are receiving emails pushing the blame on the residents, and the children that live here. Natalie, stop begging for positive reviews and posting your own fake reviews🙂 This place is going downhill fast!

UPDATE Approaching our move out date, and I have to say I could not recommend anyone to move in this place unless you are desperate to be on the water. They are at 60% occupancy for a reason. They tried to do some power washing and repainting and did an absolutely horrible job. The paint flakes from power washing the rails still litter the property. The paint itself was just slapped on over previous layers, lowest bid definitely won that contract. Anyways, My main reason for submitting a negative update is the fleas. We have no pets, never had any animals inside our apartment. However, lately we have been encountering fleas in our home. Our son has been getting bitten, and every so often you will find one on yourself. They did have pest control come out, but only did certain units (of course, not ours). This has made our issue worse. This place is scrambling to stay alive, bank inspections just took place a couple weeks back. Rates are lowering, they’re trying to keep people in by offering a free month rent. Move out approaching soon, can’t wait!! Hey all I have lived at The Dwell at Clear Lake Apartments for almost 5 years now. Yes 5 years we call this home. Absolutely Love it here. We have met so many people of all different cultures and some we call family now. His community here is like no other it’s like a huge family we all look out for one another and if you need anything milk or eggs your neighbor has your back and this is a fact.... I love to grill best part about this is the apartments provides the grills and all the gas ( Heck ya ). If you have a boat we can’t get closer to the water than here. We have a Beautiful dock that has slips for many boats and the best place to hang out watch the sunrise and sunsets not to mention 4th of July we all head down to our dock and watch all the fireworks. Again neighbors we don’t own a boat but many do so if you want to go out on a boat sure it won’t be an issue. Now about the apartments again we Love it here if you have any issues never more than a phone call away. Amanda, Levi, and Marcelle are the best ! I never have had any issues and any I’ve heard of they have had quick results and remedy the issues. The pool I seen someone post pictures of the pool well we live in Texas and it does rain here so yes keeping the pool in PERFECT condition is a hard job I’m sure. However that being said I’VE NEVER SEEN THE POOL NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION IF IT IS OPEN ! Summer is awesome pool party’s fun for all ages. I have a 10 year old and let me tell you he is always in the pool ! Like a fish out of water. Lol. I can not express anymore how happy we are here!
