West Towne Marketplace — Local services in El Paso

This a great place as a one stop center for anything you need especially for lunch or for finding gifts or for groceries. The one drawback that needs attention is the traffic issue here, it is beyond awful and it is not because of the highway closures that have been going on for a year now. Entering is easy, it is actually exiting West Towne that is a complete nightmare.

The minor road that intersects with the Starbucks drive-thru is a key example of the poor planning. Because it's Starbucks there is usually a car trying to enter the drive-thru and has to wait for the queue line to advance; all the meanwhile, the other cars are essentially blocked from advancing anywhere all for this one car.The design of the center leaves much to be desired as there is four exits in and out of the entire complex. West Towne Marketplace has a lot of great options for shopping and dining. I live very close to this center and so I frequent a lot of the shops and restaurants.

I particularly enjoy shopping at Michaels. They have all the art supplies my wife needs and a custom framing department to frame all of her artwork. We use the Postal Annex for shipping out orders, and the family that runs the store are just delightful people.

I have yet to go wrong with food in this shopping center. I love Chick-fil-A and jersey Mike's, and I'm always buying pizza on the weekends from sun city slice.

My only complaint is that sometimes it's damn near impossible to leave the shopping center. Traffic gets so bad from like 4 to 7. Plus, the construction on the freeway is exacerbating the situation by choking the flow around the artcraft exit.

Overall, I am more pleased by this location and its businesses than I am inconvenienced by the traffic....

Good place to hang with friends because of its wide variety it has to offer. Be it grabbing a bite or just browsing around. There's just too much convenience in this place. It's also pretty okay kept in terms of garbage. I only got two gripes about this area (since they are pretty much unavoidable I wont be docking stars for them). For one, you don't wanna park too far away from the stores because weird people tend to hang out in the backs of the lot. Thats a given in any lot.
