Although the food was delicious, the staff pleasant, and the restaurant itself was very clean & beautiful, I will NEVER step foot in this restaurant again. The manager, Alejandro, is in dire need of both managerial & legal training. I wouldn’t be surprised if the restaurant was shut down due to Alejandro’s behavior. My first interaction with Alejandro was last month when he curtly met me outside the restaurant. He was physically blocking my entrance because I was being accompanied by my Service Dog. A complete violation of the ADA & local El Paso County Code. He was forced to allow me to enter when I presented my Service Dog’s credentials. As we waited for our meal, I witnessed Alejandro pick up a stack of napkins that had been dropped by one of the waiters while clearing another party’s table. I thought for sure Alejandro would know that they needed to be discarded since they had already been in use & Alejandro picked up the napkins off the floor! I was wrong! Alejandro set the napkins back in the stack used by the staff to supply new customers. I asked our waiter to please remove them from the stack & dispose of them. He did & apologized. Yesterday, Sunday, August 14, 2022 at 3:45pm I met my sister for dinner at Aguachiles Cimmaron. The place was packed. There was only one table available but it was dirty. Alejandro politely asked me to give him a few minutes to clear the table. When he returned, I started to walk towards the table. He said (in Spanish), “No, there is a waiting list for indoor seating, but you are welcome to sit outside in our patio”. At that point, I realized he had made eye contact with the “Rich Mexican National” behind me. I was hoping to be wrong again, imagining the worst after being discriminated against. I wasn’t wrong. Alejandro sat the “Rich Mexican National” at the table where we were waiting to be seated. I was livid. I approached Alejandro & told him I knew exactly what he had done. He lied & tried to deny it saying the other parties decided to continue to eat the bar. There was NEVER any waitlist. I did not serve my country in the US Army for more than 23years and in support of two different conflicts to come home & be treated like a 2nd class citizen. I welcome tourists. I want them to see our beautiful city. I will not tolerate someone’s mistreatment of our...
Read moreWe had attempted to go to AJ’s Diner in the same area only to find that they were not open yet. This is when our journey for dinner delivered us in to Los Aguachiles. At first glance, it was a small dining area with very uncomfortable seating. a decently stocked bar and an open view to a very clean kitchen. Still hesitant but worth a try so my wife, our adult son and I sit down. The menu left me a bit weary. Having been in the military for 20 years, I’ve seen the vast difference between US seafood presentation and seafood in other locales and figured this place had the potential to be a bit more exotic than what my son was ready to see. Upon a bit more digging, there were a lot of other options to whole fish dishes. My son discovered a dish that was essentially fish and chips. It came with 4 enormous pieces of fish. It honestly could have been split between two adults. Great plate and great value. My wife and I had the shrimp and fish empanadas. Very light flaky crust, crisped away to the perfectly cooked flaky fish and firm and tender shrimp. For our dinner, we had the tacos a La cart. The tacos Azteca (shrimp tacos) came in blue corn shells with more of the delicious shrimp, generous slices of avocado and crisp veggie toppings. A-Maze-ing. Serious. Very good tacos. Then the asada tostada came. I don’t remember having a more tender asada dish in El Paso. Great flavor and more meat than I expected to find on a tortilla. The service was as good as the food. We will be back and are so happy that this little gem of gulf region Latin dishes exist within 5 minutes of our house. If you want to try something new and something great, stop in and ask for Arlin (our server). She will take great care while the chef prepares you a memorable meal that will leave you...
Read moreThis is my first time at this location. The restaurant is very ample with plenty of seating. It is well decorated and just make you remember about the sea. The restaurant is very clean, they have a huge selection of tequilas. The personnel is very friendly and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. The food it is really good, the flavors and freshness on seafood is excellent. The menu it's very extensive and it's hard to choose due to everything looks really good. My two kids love theiir food. I ordered a shrimp taco, octupus taco and a fish taco. I really like the flavor and originality of each independent taco. The first 2 are not that big in comparison with the fish taco. If you are really hungry go for the fish taco. My son tried the shrimp and octupus cocktail and he just devour the food. He was amazed with the flavor. My wife tried the fish soup and also really like it. The portion sizes are good. My little one had fish and fries and he also loved his food. Totally recommend the restaurant, just keep in mind that most of the menu is seafood so prices are higher but is close to other restaurants offering the same type of food . It is also important to mention that the service is very good and the servers are constantly checking if you need a refill or anything else. Another thing that I liked is that the main dishes didn't take too long from preparation...
