Sooooo I was interested in selling my firearm and decided to check out Cabela's website and inquire info on SELLING MY GUN as Cabela's Official Website stated I could get detailed information and to call to store to get this DETAILED INFORMATION. I called to get DETAILED INFORMATION on SELLING MY GUN... KEY WORDS. when I called, to my dismay, I didn't get the name of the gentleman, but I explained I was interested in selling my gun and wanted to know if he could tell me more or less a rough estimate to how much I could potentially get for selling my gun, in a quick stirn and rude voice stated that ," We don't discuss those things over the phone" and simply stayed quiet, and just like that the call was over. Now I called back again to point out that he was of no help to me, for him to state that I didn't ask anything and that he answered my question... now I'm reasonable, it's true he answered my question, but was extremely rude, and gave me zero DETAILED INFORMATION on SELLING MY GUN as the Website stated would be the case. If Im wrong, fine, but first off what's the point in telling me to call to get DETAILED INFORMATION on SELLING MY GUN if they can't talk about it???? Secondly the only info he gave me was to bring it in the store and safety protocols in doing so..... Now if I wanted to bring it in couldn't I have just done that, WHAT'S THE POINT OF CALLING?!?!?! THIRDLY Even if I'm in the wrong, he didn't need to be rude, there's better ways to talk to people especially if you are in CUSTOMER SERVICE. DON'T NEED THIS INDIVIDUAL FIRED NOR DO I WISH ILL OF HIM BUT DAMN HE WAS RUDE!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE GUN DEPARTMENT. The call was around 4 p.m. mountain time today July 24 2024 , Cabela's El Paso, Texas, to the gun department. just...
Read moreMy experience with Cabela's has been extremely frustrating, to say the least. I attempted to make an online purchase, intending to have the item shipped to my address, but my orders were repeatedly canceled for reasons that remain unclear. After facing these difficulties, I decided to give Cabela's another chance by making a purchase to pick up in the store.
I was given assurances over the phone by a Cabela's representative named Kevin that the item I was interested in would be available for pick up if I made a lengthy four-hour drive to reach the store. I trusted their word and made the journey, but upon my arrival, I was met with disappointment. Cabela's staff at the store informed me that they couldn't locate the item I had specifically inquired about.
This experience left me deeply disappointed and frustrated with Cabela's. The lack of communication and accountability, both in the online order cancellations and the unfulfilled in-store pickup guarantee, reflect poorly on the company. When I make a purchase, I expect it to be fulfilled as promised, especially when I've invested time and effort to reach the store. Cabela's has failed to meet these expectations.
As a result of these repeated issues and the unfulfilled commitments, I've decided that I will not be making any further purchases from Cabela's. It's a shame, as I had previously held Cabela's in high regard for its outdoor and sporting goods, but this recent experience has seriously eroded my trust in the company's ability to deliver on its promises. I hope that Cabela's takes these issues seriously and works to improve its customer service and order fulfillment processes...
Read moreLove that there is a Cabela's fairly close to Las Cruces, but a few trips have been less than stellar, so here goes: PLEASE put those Pop Gun noisy damn things somewhere other than in a bin in the aisle !! Every kid and immature adult walking past picks them up and, "POP" "POP" "POP" "POP" "POP" "POP" "POP" "POP"..............you get the picture? I went in to find a scope rail to fit a Mini 14. Even took with me another brand's as an example of what I was looking for. Very little product knowledge exhibited by the two guys who asked what I was looking for. In frustration, I left the store and found exactly what I was looking for at CABELA'S ONLINE !! Once I received what I ordered online, I took it into the store to show them. Just trying to educate them. They couldn't care less. And finally, Ii was thinking about purchasing a Marine Battery shown in the recent flyer as being on sale. There was no mention of a "Core Charge" in the flyer, so I called the store before driving 45 miles to make the purchase. Three different associates couldn't tell me, (the 3rd guy said, "I think it's like twenty bucks, but they'll tell you at the register), and the 4th guy put me on hold for 15 minutes !! Simple question....is there a core charge for batteries? I'm not about to pull a battery out of the boat and lug it down there if I don't have to. Anyway, bought two batteries in Las Cruces for $5.00 more than Cabela's "Sale" price. Still love the...
