A few weeks ago, I dropped my son off at Capones to get a haircut. He paid for his haircut then sat on the bench outside the Hallmark store to wait for me. His wallet dropped out of his pocket and we didn't realize it until later that night. Fast forward to going back and searching, asking the haircut place if anyone turned it in, nothing. We didn't think to check inside Hallmark. So we canceled his debit card and set an appointment to get a new driver's license. On Labor Day Monday an extremely nice manager from the Hallmark store delivered his wallet to our home. 💖 This restored my faith that when people choose to, they can do the right thing, and SHE went above and beyond to return his wallet. We had purchased some Star Wars storyteller Christmas ornaments online and we were not able to get the entire set. We went back to the store to return them and although we had to call the online representative, the online store was willing to refund us if the store was able to accept the items, however, the lazy manager did not want to take the extra effort to re-label The products and refused to accept them even though corporate Hallmark was willing to give us a refund. I love shopping here because they have a lot of unique gifts but the customer service is always a hit and miss. Today I went in for a last minute gift. I saw an associate standing around the register with no customers. I asked if she could check me out. She said she wasn’t open. I got in the other line with two elderly women buying hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise and the other two associates in the store were hanging around the register not offering to check other people out at a new register. I ended up leaving my item and driving over to kohls for my gift. It would be great to have more consistent service. Very...
