I'm a big fan of Firehouse Subs! I've always enjoyed this place! But this specific location is the worst I've ever been to. I'm pretty sure it's just El Paso. I can't speak for the other locations around here, but I know this location has the worst service ever. The bread always comes out totally soggy. I don't know if they leave their bread sitting in water or what, but it's quite disgusting to eat soggy bread. I always order on the app and they almost never get the order correct, except after I gave bad feedback on one of the emailed surveys and the manager offered me a full refund. Word of advice to you all, don't take the refund if you plan to go back to that location. They will simply associate your face with your name and they'll remember you. Food service workers can and do spit in food and do other nasty things to food. The next time you come in or place an order, they'll remember the person who complained and caused them all a few minutes of additional training to watch out for requests to remove things due to an allergy. I think they've only ever removed the item I'm allergic to once. They pretty much always leave it on the sandwich. Again, I don't know about other Firehouse Subs locations around El Paso, but this one is simply awful. The unhappy employees are not uncommon in El Paso. So I doubt you're ever going to find good service in food service in this city. Even Lawton Oklahoma had better food service than here in El Paso! It's as though you've inconvenienced them every time you walk through the door everywhere here. Don't be shut off to Firehouse, this one just give the place a bad name. I've heard other people say Firehouse isn't very good who've gone to other locations in El Paso. So maybe we just need to let it go out of business in this city to save the Firehouse name. Went by hours before posted closing time and all the chairs were up as if they were closed. You could see the annoyance on the employees faces when we walked in...Should have been a sign. Then proceeded to order, out of tea, ice and limes. I asked if they had tea and they said they stopped making it because it was just gonna go to waste. So they pulled it off the floor. So tried the sparkling cherry limeade sugar free..on the instructions when you get the drink from the fountain it clearly states "squeeze lime and enjoy"....no limes. Only had 1 hard old cookie for the kiddo with no selectionof anything else. Same response when asked about where the variety was. Then the sandwich came. Was the worst most poorly built sandwich I have gotten here in 6 years...absolutely terrible. Soggy bread, old bread on top of that and I asked for extras and got only 1 of them. By that I mean like their cucumbers, onions, peppers...etc. We finished and went to wash up and the bathroom was filthy...now mind you im not the one whonsaid anything. I called the day of to confirm because the order status page never changed to show the store confirmed and I was told they did not have my order. It took over 45 minutes to get through to the store and they were "open". They told me they could not accommodate my order because there were only 3 people working and that I had to place my order 24 hours in advance. I explained that I DID place my order over 24 hours in advance and still there was "nothing they could do". It would have been ok if it wasnt ready on time but there was no effort on the stores part to make it right. I got on with the chat service via the catering portion of their website, they canceled the order, made sure there was no cancelation fee, and tried to find me an alternative solution. Unfortunately their alternatives were different styles of cuisine so i had to decline. I appreciate their effort though. Luckily Jersey Mike's was able to accommodate my catering order with less than 2 hours to spare. This particular Firehouse Subs needs to make sure they are checking and confirming all online orders.
