Veranda Apartments — Local services in El Paso

Very honest opinion, lived here a little over a year and I mean for your first apartment it’s decent, you could hear everything that’s going on around you, landlord isn’t up to date with maintenance but she’s quick to ask for the rent. She hasn’t fixed a leak I asked her to fix since last July and there is paint chipping off the countertop. Landlord can come off as rude and very sarcastic at times. One incident occurred where I didn’t answer her text message (keep in mind I was asleep she texted me at 7 am) and because I didn’t respond to her she sent the maintenance guy to my apartment without my consent. I was asleep!!! And she sends someone into my apartment cause I never responded to her message. Basically she called me into her office and cried me a story complaining about her job saying she wanted to quit etc…. I think she’s emotionally unstable and should reconsider...

My husband and I just moved in to these apartments in early January as we are newly stationed at Fort Bliss. From the beginning this place has not been what it seemed. My biggest concern is the bugs. We do not in any way, shape, or form keep a dirty house or leave food out. They have someone come around about once a month and spray for bugs, but it obviously doesn't work. I have battled little black ants, huge red ants, and cockroaches almost the entire time we have been here. Also, our porch plant has been stolen ( who steals a plant?!), our neighbors above are noisey all night long on a regular basis, and there have been multiple sketchy-looking people hanging around the apartments that I know don't live here. The apartment manager is incredibly unprofessional and rude. She took pictures of me while I was house sitting for my cousin, which was creepy and very upsetting. When I called her to confront her and ask why she's taking pictures of people without their knowledge she was coming up with all these excuses. And when I asked to speak to her higher-ups about the situation she refused to allow me to speak with them or give me any sort of contact information.
