Wig Paradise & Beauty Supply — Local services in El Paso

I came to El Paso on a business trip and decided to wear my very first wig (rookie move) by mid day, the wig was sliding off my head. When I got off of work, I ran to the nearest beauty supply store for help. The first store I got to was not knowledgeable about products and wigs and gave me some sketchy advise. I quickly went to try he next store (Wig Paradise and Beauty Supply). Let's just say, I was pleasently surprised by the great customer service and knowledge. For the following reasons, I will return:

I was greeted warmly when I came in. No one was following me around. I was given advise and great suggestions. The wig try on process was explained and fair. They had a private area to try on wigs and offered a wig cap in two colors They helped me with my try on and adjustments. They cut the lace for me Gave me tips, tricks, and suggested products without trying to upsell me unnecessarily. Military discount. Reasonable prices.

I was so happy with my selection, I wore the wig out the store. LoL.

Sylvia was very kind, helpful, courteous, attentive and professional. She really went out of her way to help me look nice and unwittingly provided a therapeutic experience, which means a lot post-pandemic.

Also, their product selection is extensive and their prices offer something for everyone. Meaning that if you wanted to splurge and/or economize depending upon your situation, you could make it happen. I appreciate that very much.

This region as a whole is a beauty supply oasis in the middle of a desert. The next nearest beauty supply is Albuquerque, NM and Tucson, AZ, which are about 3.5 and 5 hours away, respectively. Sometimes, shopping 🛍️ online is not an option, and having a helpful human around is essential. It's nice to be able to shop for what you want, rather than settling for whatever you can find based upon a need.

This is one of my favorite places to get wigs and I’ve been a consistent customer for about 5 years now and normally I’d have nothing but the best things to say about the customer service, however yesterday around 4 I received not so good service. A woman with a piercing I believe asked me once if I needed help and I told her I’d need some time (a lot of time to decide what wig I wanted) and she continued to stare at me and my boyfriend for 15-25 minutes STRAIGHT while following us behind the counter as if we were, i don’t know, stealing? It felt extremely uncomfortable and at one point I debated just leaving because, without any exaggeration, her staring made me feel THAT uncomfortable and awkward. As a long time customer I hate that this lady was behaving as if I were stealing and I’ve never felt so targeted or watched in a store setting before. If she didn’t think we were trying to steal, then she definitely was following us with every little step to try to pressure us to hurry up and pick something which as someone who’s worked customer service for years is the last thing you want your...
