Was driving on Dyer and was hungry and saw this place. It looked local so I wanted to support them and also wanted to try the jerk chicken. Walked in and there were 2 young ladies by the register. I sat down and was instructed to order at the register. I requested a recommendation and was told the oxtail was their favorite dish. I ordered a combo oxtail and jerk chicken. I asked for water and was brought a bottled water. They don't serve tap water. Bill was $33 total. I know oxtail is on the expensive side so I went ahead and paid. I sat down and after a few minutes was brought an aluminum take out dish with clear plastic cover. Not a big problem as I thought I could take the leftovers if I didn't finish it. I opened it up and saw small oxtails and chicken which did not appear to be freshly made. The meat was served over a bed of sautéed cabbage and rice. I was served 3 small oxtails which were on the dry side and it definately was reheated from day(s) before. Same with the chicken as I was given a dried up drum stick and half a thigh. Half of the drum stick was still on the cold side. It wasn't reheated correctly. It wasn't all bad as the food did taste pretty good. Now imagine freshly made and it would easily be delicious. To those that have had it freshly made, you had probably delicious food. Some of the pics show freshly made food from what I can see. I know reheated food when I eat it and aside from the rice and sautéed cabbage, the meat was not freshly made. The girls didn not once ask me how the meal was or if I needed anything. They sat by the register on their cell phones the whole time I was there. I cleaned up after myself and threw the leftover rice and cabbage away before I left. I'm hoping the owner reads this message and corrects the issues. Kudos to the cook as the food is good even as leftovers. $33 for this meal was not worth it by any means. I still felt bad for the girls and left $3...

Tell me you are in Jamaica without being in Jamaica.
Located in the heart of El Paso Texas where the mountain views are breathtaking, the culture is rich, friendly, and inviting. I have discovered an El Paso gem that is truly a remarkable experience.
From the second I walked in the door, the colors came to life in a cool environment taking me back in time where I could hear the music and ocean as I stepped inside. The hypnotic smell of the food made me relaxed and at home. The walk from the door to counter made me look around where people were not able to put their food down.
As I approached the counter I saw the beef patties, and before the owner could say anything I asked for a juicy beef patty and spicy sauce…. The patty is a crispy on the outside, the great beef and spice flavor made my mouth water and made me dance.
Then came this amazing homemade drink that goes perfect with the patty. As I was finishing my patty, the hot food came that tingled all my senses, it is the perfect smell of spices, meats, rice, beans, vegetables and everything else that in in there, and from the first bit I was not able to put the fork down.
This is truly an El Paso’s cultural gems. The service is amazing, the food is heavenly, the people are friendly, this is a place for a great lunch and dinner that is bound to satisfy anyone who loves great food.
Once again, Shanese thank you for your hospitality, the great food, and an amazing afternoon. Looking forward to another great meal. I appreciate you bringing Jamaica...
