I don’t know when this place was established but I’ve known about this place for at least 15 years. Each time I come back to El Paso I come here at least once and tell people how great the food is. The food is and has always been amazing. It is my favorite Korean BBQ spot hands down. The food served is fresh and hot because when it comes to you, you can hear it sizzling and get all that wonderful aroma! Kalbi Ribs is my favorite, the meat is tender and seasoned very well. I also love their Sundubu Soup (Spicy Tofu Soup), very very good! The service is great. The lady cashier that used to be still always remembered me but this time she was not here. She’s retired good for her! That’s how long I’ve known this place to exist. Some people say that the area where this is looks sketchy but I’ve never not felt safe. It looks like they’ve changed the floors to make the restaurant look brighter but they need a little more decor. But I guess it’s working for them. But if you’re here for the food not the ambiance you’re good to go! I really love this place. They received four stars because even though food and service is a five the portions are not as much as before. But I understand, inflation! Some of the side items they don’t serve anymore because it’s “expensive” per the server (maybe owner?). Also I noticed that they didn’t serve the side items before the meal instead served it with the meal. Either way I still recommend this Korean BBQ 100 percent!

Don't let the appearance or location of this restaurant steer you away!! The food is AMAZINGGGGG! We decided to give this place a try as we were in search for some cold noodle soup. We saw that this place offered it so we made the drive. Upon arriving we noticed that the location is not too pretty but we didn't mind. We were the only ones dining in at the time and there were more then plenty of tables to choose from. The waitress quickly came on over, gave us our menus, and took our drink orders. We ordered the cold noodle soup but unfortunately she said that they didn't offer it anymore, bummer. We ended up ordering the bulgogi barbecue that comes with lettuce, white rice, and all the sides. She quickly brought out the grill and we began cooking! The meat tasted great and the lettuce was fresh! We were given so many different sides and they are not stingy with the portions. From radishes, to bean sprouts, to kimchi, to some spicy broccoli and some yummy potatoes! She checked up on us several times even though at this point there were other people also dining in. The sodas do come in cans and they don't offer refills. We ended up paying $40 for the food and service was great. Their eft machine was having a glitch that day so we ended up getting charged twice. We quickly came back to inform her and she was very friendly about it. She took care of it right there and then. We will definitely be back!

Such a disappointment. First, I had to go to the kitchen and yell hello because we waited 10 mins and no one came out to wait on us or seat us. Secondly, if you're going to own or work at a restaurant in the US, you need to speak English. The lady that took our order could not speak or understand English hardly at all. Never came to check on us once. We finally just said forget it, tried what we had and left. The beef bulgogi had a sweet flavor and was not appetizing. The pork bulgogi was kind of fatty. The yaki mandu is the worst I've ever had. The best thing about the whole meal was the kimchi. We will not be going back. Sorry, but this place needs a lot of improvement.

I very rarely write reviews about the restaurants I eat at. But I feel the need to write a review kalbi house. We lived in ft bliss 7 years ago and used to frequent kalbi house. We loved going there. We recently just moved back to ft bliss and we were excited to take our daughter to grab some food from there. When we walked in, it had a weird smell as if they burned something and it was hot in there. We ordered yaki mandu. That was fine. (I’m sure it was store bought). We watched these two women walk in and sit down. The waitress ignored them for a good 15 mins and we watched them get up and walk out. She brought out our banchan. They were all lukewarm as if they had either been sitting out of the fridge or if they didn’t have a working fridge to put them in. The bean sprouts, potato’s, broccoli kimchi all had a rotten taste to them. My husband had the kalbi, my daughter had bulgogi and kimchi fried rice and I got spicy pork and kimchi. I took about 3 bites of my food and I got this strong pork flavor in my mouth that made me sick to my stomach. It tasted like a rotten pork flavor. My daughter took a few bites of her food and my husband somewhat ate his food. My husband asked for more water half way through eating and she never brought him more water. Our bill came out to $100. Quite expensive for food that we couldn’t even stomach. Me and my daughter packed up the food and politely took it but it’s in the trash. All 3 of us feel sick to our stomachs. I can’t get that rotten taste out of mouth. Every time I take a sip of a drink, the taste intensifies. Not even brushing the roof of my mouth and tongue is getting the taste out. I’m half Korean so I grew up on Korean food. I have to say that this was the worst Korean food I’ve ever had. I don’t know what’s happened to this place over the years, but it definitely has...
