Whoever makes the little slips of information for the People trying to get the licenses and other documents, she and her team are receiving the one star. I informed her I was back and forth for two weeks for a license and I did not receive a slip on a Friday, my first visit. I was told they are not legally obligated to provide the information slips, that they tell the People to look online (I wasnāt told nor directed to the website), and little slips of paper comes out of her own pocket.
I replied, āWell, thatās nice customer serviceā. That woman asked me, āWell, would you like to pay for it all?ā As I reached for my money and she told me the process was not ready to be paid for, I realized she was being rude.
The visit to Elginās Tag Agency ended with her saying she, ādonāt talk to people that wayā, after she wished me a good day and I was rude back.
Well, apparently, she does. Told me she could cancel the transaction and I shouldāve told her to do so. She wouldnāt admit that she suggested I pay for all her little slips & no, again, no worker informed me to look online during my first visit out of five to Elgin Tag Agency. The fifth being my last.
Must be nice to waste the Peopleās gas, time, and obviously trees if theyāre only selecting certain customers to give her precious slips of paper out to the People.
Someone in the review suggested Cache, I gave them a call, they understood what was going on, and they can see me right away. Based on Elginās reviews, Iād bet sheās that Jennifer everyone is complaining about. Iām heading to Cache now for a new picture and a better experience. I, as well, suggest yāall go to Cacheās Tag Agency. š» Guess what, yāall: 15 minutes later into an appointment in Lawton, an actual kind stranger just heard me say Elgin Tag Agency and asked if that rude woman was there.
Go to Cache, yāall. Update: The workers at Cache Tag Agency were extravagantly professional and I absolutely did not mind paying the extra money for a new picture. That horrid woman at Elgin Tag Agency gave little warning as I sat down and snapped the photo as I sat up. Just as each one star in these Google and Facebook reviews are saying about her: sheās rude and does talk to the People like that. One review even stated she...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe clerks I've dealt with at Elgin Tag Agency are perfectly polite and helpful. Jenifer, the actual Tag Agent, is not.
When I came in to register a boat purchased out of state, Jenifer would not look at the documentation I had after I told her there was no title for it. Before coming in, I'd verified with two OTC agents via phone that I was clear to register with the GA registration in the previous owners name, along with bills of sale from the owner to the dealer, and the dealer to me. I never got the chance to tell that to Jenifer. She insisted that she'd never heard of being able to register an out of state boat without the title or without registration in my name (why would I register it in GA?!).
Her initial approach was curt at best, and quickly turned hostile when I tried to explain that OTC had told me I was good to go. I ended up going to the Lawton Tag Agency, where they took care of me quickly and with no issues at all. On my way home, I stopped in Elgin to let Jenifer know it worked out, that perhaps there was a change in procedure, and that I didn't not appreciate the way I was treated earlier. She responded that Lawton is always being audited by the state and "don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out."
I really don't mind terse customer service. On a personal level, I don't care much about disrespect toward me - everyone has bad days. I do care that the people of Elgin and surrounding communities can't get effective service for registrations that are required by law. Yes, OK tag agencies are privately owned and I'm sure they can refuse service as such, but I will most definitely continue to take my business elsewhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese people have absolutely NO idea what they are doing. They were trying to give me plates for an OFF ROAD dirt bike. The MSO did not specifically state off road but all of the other supporting documentation did. I called the dealer and they said it should NOT have plates unless I plan to take it on the road/ install the necessary items for it to be on the road. When I stated I would be getting it registered at another office she said that it would get recalled due to it being done wrong AND that they would be recalling my husbands registration because it was also done wrong. After calling the STATE TITLE AGENCY to explain the situation they confirmed that it SHOULD be registered as of OFF ROAD vehicle due to not having a speedometer, blinkers etc. (regardless if the MSO states off road or not) The MSO documentation comes directly from the manufacturers and are not edited by dealerships. The head lady was very rude trying to express that she was right when in fact she was WRONG. I had my bike registered at the Lawton tag agency with zero issues. They also confirmed with the state and it was a quick in...
